Man Arrested for Burglary at Nudist Park [Archive]

This sounds weird, but nearly every nudist park has bizarro intruder / trespassing stories.

The only time I have ever had contact with an intruder at the nudist park I belong to was around eight years ago.

The club I belong to does not admit singles, so some cannot just use the gate phone and gain entrance. Anyway...

The park has a gate, similar to the parking garage gates. One guy had driven up from Rhode Island, parked his truck at the gate and decided to just walk up the hill. We have a pass that opens the gate, of course... so we go through and see him walking up the road.

He flags us down ... and I roll down the window, the dialog went =

"Hey, is there a way I can get some information about this place?"

My reply = "YES, but , you're trespassing. Please don't go any further, please, go back down to the gate and use the phone and the club owner will answer any questions you have."

Him = "But I don't want to bother anyone. I want to get some information."

Me = "PLEASE - if you go up this road any further, you will be bothering a lot of people, because you'll wind up being arrested. Please go back down the road now."

Another person arrived on her golf cart (clothed) and also joined in the conversation. She convinced him to go down the road to the gate and use the phone. He did, and she escorted him, and picked up the gate phone. The guy panicked "you're not going to tow my truck or have me arrested, are you?"

Her = "No. But if you want information, I have the club owner on the phone, you can ask her anything you need answers to, etc."

He panicked and got into his truck and sped off.

The typical intruder is -

almost always male

usually alone (you sometimes get the car full of college kids, however)

fearful of social / personal contact; he won't pick up the phone to call a nudist park

is scared out of his wits; his fear and nervousness give him away in a group

often is unfamiliar with nudist courtesies and protocol (sitting on towel, speaking to others, arrives wearing a bathing suit, etc.)

if apprehended, usually contacts a parent to have him sprung

... and finally -

ARE ALMOST ALWAYS CAUGHT. Clubs do have people arrested for trespassing and yes, they often have to go to court.

Advice to anyone reading this who is curious about the world of nudism and visiting a nudist park -

- Contact the facility first - BEFORE you visit.

- Do not travel out to a site and just "show up". Clubs and resorts that say "call before visiting" mean it. They often turn unexpected visitors away at the gate.

- If the club states "singles please call first", "gender balancing quota", etc. don't hesitate to call them, but remember that your screening begins when the person on the other end of the phone says "Hello".

- above all DON'T TRY TO SNEAK IN. Clubs and resorts are extremely serious about intruders and trespassers and nearly all of them have them prosecuted. And your name will be spread to other nudist parks and clubs.
