Hello all,
I will be going to a town called Punta Cana on the east coast of The Dominican Republic for a few weeks. Does anyone know anything about this place? The beaches are supposed to be fantastic. Do I need to take a bathing suit? I sure hope not.

Mountainbird, I think you'll definitely need a bathing suit there unless you find some very secluded beach(es). To my knowledge, the only place to legally go nude in the DR is at Eden Bay Resort near Puerto Plata, on the NORTH coast. And it's well worth it, IMHO.

THE N COAST WATER IS ROUGH COMPARIED TO THE CARIBAIN SIDE, THE BEACHES ARE NICE BUT AS STATED MOST NOT LEGAL TO BE NUDE http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/sick.gif

Thanks for the info on Punta Cana. I guess it looks like I will have to actually purchase a bathing suit. I sure hope they come with a users-manual, I've never used on before...(Hee Hee)
