My girlfriend and I are going in vacation at the end of August and have been to Paradise Lakes and Caliente. We are also wanting to try Lake Como and Cypress Cove. I was just wondering if anyone has been to either Como and Cypress and if they could share thier thoughts on the two resorts.

Lake Como and Cypress Cove are similar in some ways - both are family oriented clubs. They both have a community of mobile/manufactured homes and they both have a large lake (with beaches) on their properties. Lake Como is older and more rustic, but they have been making alot of improvements in the past few years - new tennis courts, city sewer lines, new roads, remodeled swimming pool etc. Their motel/rental rooms date back to the 1940's so they can be a little too "rundown" for some people.

I haven't been to Cypress Cove in a few years so I can's say much about its present condition, but overall it is a very well maintained resort with a modern dining area, nice rental rooms, several swimming pools, a library dedicated to nudism, and they also allow boats and jetskis on their lake whereas Como does not.

All in all.. they are both nice places to visit and are close enough together that you should be able to visit both on your trip no problem. I have found the people at Como to be the friendliest, but I have much more experience there than at the Cove.

When will you guys be coming down? I live a few miles from Como and have a membership there.

pascodoug...we will be coming down on August 25th through August 31. We are going to a friends house for the weekend for a fantasy football draft, but the other days are open.
