1.) If we know the speed of Light, why hasn't th speed of Dark been calculated?
2.) Why are Yellow Freight trucks painted orange?
3.) What is the critical mass of a Big Mac and how many does it take before you explode?
4.) Who are 'they' and why are 'they' always talking?
5.) How is it that one can not belch, sneeze and pass gas all at the same time? I mean one could get rid of all the excess air in one's body more rapidly that way, right?

Says who? I've done all three darn near simultaneously. It is the natural consequence of Thai Peppercorn Gumbo. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm
The epiglottis might normally prevent a coinciding belch and sneeze, but I am not so sure about that.
There are reports that in cats (http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061203082919AATaKWn&show=7) this combination may result in feline implosion syndrome.
Sorry Gamblefish, Killer has made it very clear that I am NOT permitted to send you my Thai Peppercorn Gumbo recipe.

I don't know what the speed of dark is, but I remember reading a newspaper story many years ago where it was said that darkons (which cause dark, kinda like how photons are light) are heavier than air. Their proof was to look in deep caves; they're full of darkons. If they were lighter than air, then caves would be light, wouldn't they???

You know you are behind the world's biggest A-Hole when you're on a winding two lane road where you cannot pass and you see a "Reduce Speed Ahead" sign and you have to INCREASE your speed to obtain the posted REDUCED speed limit! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/shout.gif

It's getting dangerously close, Shaybare. Just ask the polar bears.

I believe that the reason the Arctic has not yet melted is becasue there is less light striking the poles. That being true there are more darkons there, and, as every one knows, they are heavier than photons and kept the temperature cool as in caves.

If one can be overwhelmed, can one be underwhelmed or just merely whelmed?
And, am I the only one underwhelmed by the overwhelming needlessness of people punching elevator call buttons when the call light indicates that it already has been punched?
One wonders what whelmed them into doing that?

usmc1,
it's the same reason people creep halfway out into the intersection on a red light. as if the sensor was erroneously placed AHEAD of the stop line. just as inching forward will give you a green light sooner, so punching the "down" button (or "walk" button at a crosswalk) repeatedly will get the elevator (or "walk" signal) faster.

What sensor? We don't have no steenkin' sensors around here. You creep out into the intersection so that you'll get a chance to turn left. If you sit politely in your lane you'll be cut off by opposing traffic for two, three, or four cycles of the light.
