I'm going on a road trip from Sept 13 thru 24th through desert southwest. The objective is to go to (and/or stay at) as many nudist/ nudist friendly places/hostels/B+'s / private homes as possible. Anyone having insight into hot springs, hiking trails, swimming holes as well as places to stay - I'm all ears. Anyone who lives in these places and wants to plan a hike or other outdoor activity - I'm very interested. (37 y.o long-legged, athletic, easy-going athletic guy from San Francisco...) Thanks!

Are you going across AZ on I-40 through Flagstaff or are you going more southerly on I-10? Let me know.
If I-40 you might want to check out a Sedona B&B.
http://www.internaturally.com/traveldestination.asp?destination=69.
I have never stayed there but it appears to be very nice. Could be tough getting reservations at this last minute.
Also on I-40 if you are camping and like things a little more rustic, you might want to contact Jerry at Area 51 in eastern AZ. He maintains a Yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/naturistcamping2/?yguid=224333012
Lots of hiking opportunities. No "official" nude areas, but there is so much wilderness that if you are an experienced nude hiker you make your own. Let me know how much AZ hiking you plan to do and I can give you more info.
You might want to try a Yahoo group

If you are going more southerly, let me know and I can give you some guidance for hot springs and resorts.

In a related recent post, Jason Lee advised a forum member of this website
http://nudistexplorer.com/nudeusa.htm#az
It has some of the hiking and hot springs info.
