Like many others, I have had the ?nude in public? dream. In my case, I?m mildly concerned that I?m nude among non-nudists, but no one else seems to be bothered.

I have thought that it would be interesting to experience this situation in real life. Last February, I visited Cypress Cove Nudist Resort. It was cool and most people were wearing clothes but, being Canadian and visiting a nudist resort for the first time, I went nude. As I walked nude through the streets of the residential part of the resort and met (mostly clothed) people on the streets, I realized that this was kind of like the dream, although the people nudists.

In the not-too-distant future, I plan on participating in two events, where I?ll be able to experience the ?nude in public? dream in real life. One is Burning Man Festival, where a significant percentage of people are nude much of the time. The other is the Bay-to-Breakers Run/Walk in San Francisco, which has about 100K spectators and 70K participants, with about 1 in 1000 participants being nude (the Bare-to-Breakers division).

I have a recurring dream where I finally talk my wife into visiting a nudist resort with me. I have told her about it and said she could stay clothed as most resorts around here are c/o, but still can't get her to go. She has seen some of the sites on naturism that I visit on line so she knows its just clean fun but still no go. Any ideas how I might be able to change her mind?

I've had many dreams about being nude in odd situations. In one dream I arrived at work and realized I was nude. I decided that I didn't want to drive all the way home and back again just to put on clothes. I thought if I stayed at my desk as much as possible no one would notice (dream logic).
I have had many others where I was nude and no one else was. I believe they occur for me when I feel like I want to tell other people that I am a nudist. I work in a very conservative office environment and many of my friends are conservative Christians (I realize that there are conservative Christian nudists. Most of these people, however, hold views that have been fed to them by their churches. I'll explain more if you don't understand /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ). Some of my non-work friends know that I'm a nudist due to a friend with loose lips. /infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif But most don't know. I'll probably tell my non-work friends over time as the subject comes up in conversation. There are some that I believe would be more open-minded about it while some others would consider it evil. So, I'll pick and choose who to tell first.
Anyway... I think the dreams are a way for my mind to say "HURRY UP AND TELL THEM!!" /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I would tend to believe that one's views would translate into dreamland seeing that dreams are just one's subconscience.

So since we are nudists, being nude in our dreams would be taken much differenntly than a naked in public dream of a textile. In fact, I wonder how often someone who lives at a nudist park dreams about being clothed and would being clothed at the park be their comparable dream?

Just a thought.

Homenudist,
I'm having the same problem convincing my wife. Your not alone. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

She says it's ok to go by myself, but I'd rather take her along.

It used to be that I had nude-in-public dreams and I would cover up, be embarrassed, etc. Over the years, I have become more comfortable with the nude-in-public dreams. In fact, I look forward to them. I look at the people in these dreams and think to myself "why are you still dressed?".

Thanks Driver Rick for your reply. Its good to know I'm not alone but thats a small comfort when you can't live out your dreams. At least your one up on me, my wife doesn't even want me to go alone. If yours gives you the green light go for it, you only live once.
Speaking of dreams I had a new one last night. My wife and I were out for a sunday drive miles away from my home, in the country and saw a car for sale. I said lets stop and look at it. The owner came out and was talking to us, when his son and daughter came out totally naked and said they were going to get there aunt and take her to the store, got in the car and left. I said are they going into town like that? Their dad said yea, didn't you realize the town your heading into is C/O? I said no, never knew there was one around here. He said check it out you might like it. We went into the town and saw nude people everywhere. I told my wife I want to move here, then woke up,darn it. Maybe I can finish that dream tonight.

I've heard of a place called Naked City, where there was supposedly a Miss Nude contest held each year. I have no idea if that's true. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Does anyone know for sure? /infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

The way I understrand it, Sun Aura used to be called "Naked City." However, the "Miss Nude Pagent" is held two miles from there at Roseland
Indiana at Ponderosa Nudist Resort. Somewhat sexy beauty contests are held there twice a year for the general?public, to raise money for the resort: therefore this resort can not meet the high standards for approval by the AANR, and is not approved.

This Ponderosa Nudist Resort should not be confused with the wonderful Ponderosa Nudist Resort in Canada not far from Toronto.

Nude Always,
Corrections to my post, above, of name and place of the resort is; Ponderosa Sun Club at Roselawn Indiana. They call their two hour "show", "the World Famous Nudes-A-Popin' Pagent", which they have presented for the last 25 years and their featured celebrity is an adult film star. They encourage any persons over age 18 to bring their cameras to take pictures.

This is not wholesome naturism which we prefer and want to protect.

That doesn't sound like naturism to me. It sounds liks voyuerism. /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
