I just participated in my first nude race at the Bluebonnet Resort in Texas. It was one of the races in the series of races held at various resorts in various parts of the country. This one was the 16th Annual Bare as You Dare 5K run, and it was fantastic. I had never had a chance to go running while nude, and I loved every second of it. I didn't finish with a medal, but I did finish, and only one person my age or older finished in front of me, so I considered it a success. In fact, other than a very brief three hour visit to another resort a month or two ago, this was my first extended visit to a nudist resort...camped, ate meals in the dining room, skinny-dipped, etc. It was all wonderful, and I can't wait to go back. Next time I'll be at the low end of my age bracket, and I'll do more to prepare...maybe I can win a medal....who knows.

Congrats glad you had FUN! I did my first nude 5K this past July. This race is the NW Bare Buns Fun Run up here in Western Washington. It goes up the mountain side, then back down....whew!
Good luck next year!!

I have ran the Take Pride in Your Hide Cross Country 5K in NC five times and enjoy it each year. Participants also get to spend the day at the resort afterwards. The owners and members really do a great job with the race and with making us feel welcome. Running naked is the best way to run. I only wish there were more opportunities to do that.

As I mentioned in the "Are you a Nude Runner? (http://clothesfreeforums.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1400016152/m/8310045524?r=9440042144#9440042144)" thread, "Bluebonnet has a great race, and the members there are a fun group." Did you get to play any water volleyball? They've usually got games going all weekend (except during the race).
They usually serve a good spaghetti dinner on Friday night, and then have grilled hamburgers and hot dogs after the race.
I hope to be able to make more of the races next year.

I'd love to participate in a nude run someday. I probably wouldn't win, but I'd give it my best! I'd only run someplace where no non-nudists would see me though. I wouldn't want to offend anyone.

A couple of years ago, I walked the Bluebonnet 5K race with a friend. Finished in about an hour. I've also walked/jogged it in about 35 minutes. All of the AANR-SW Races (http://www.aanr-sw.org/NRS/index.html) have people who just walk the course. The fastest runners finish in about 19 minutes, and the slowest walkers finish in about an hour.

-The Big-Thinker </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Eh? Seems like your thinking has room for expansion...
If a 5K race were officially conducted someplace where non-nudists could see you, they'd have to go watch it on purpose, wouldn't they? And if someone took offense, why would that be your fault? There are dozens, if not hundreds, of people there, some nude, some not.

I'm doing a 1/2 marathon this Sat. I wish it were being done textile free, but alas we have to wear the gear. Any way it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

Well, I guess if everyone watching was watching on purpose (expecting to see nude folks), that would eliminate the innapropriate factor. I guess it depends on the nature of the crowd then. I wouldn't want to be there to be gawked at and photographed. I don't want to reward that kind of behavior.
