Just thought I should inform everyone here of a visit from two Police Officers about 15 minutes ago(on Father's Day).
A complaint had been made to the Police about their father being naked in the backyard with his ankle biters(namely me). The two police officers were very good to deal with, no problems at all.
Another complaint was that I had appeared to be taking photos of them with my motorbike which is actually a scooter. So I quickly offered to show them the photos that were now on the computer which they did look and had no problem with whatsoever as the pics are not sexually related. Not even showing genitalia.
It was suggested that I go to places where we can do these things but when I asked where they are, they admitted to not knowing of any. I said that it is illegal to be out anywhere naked in public in Queensland so where can I go outside my backyard to which they said they don't know.
The scary part to this, is that the call was, I believe, is that I am a 'male' with children. And, the police officers said that they don't want it to turn into anything that it shouldn't and if neighbours do push criminal action against me, they can, even though it is in my backyard.
Now, after this, I emailed the 'Queensland Law Society' on this to see what response I get should I get a response.

That seems to be the problems here as well. Simply being nude in your own backyard is okay, 'but' if you are a male and there are kids around, you 'could' be in trouble. For some reason, society frowns upon males and kids, and god help you if you are caught nude around them. You are automatically labeled a sex fiend, pervert, etc.
Lots of luck and let us know how things turn out. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif

Another related problem in many western countries these days : where an accused person [who may be "accused" across a whole range of activities - not only cases of alleged indecency, and alleged sexual misconduct - but other minor crimes and various types of anti-social behaviour..], can be victimised simply by being automatically treated as a criminal - being treated as "guilty until proven innocent", and then having to prove his/her own innocence - turning whole tenet and principle of 'jurisprudence' on it's head, as it were...
A lot of times, it seems the person(s) making the complaints seems to want to taint their victims (the accused person) with being involved in a more serious activity (or, a felony, as the American system refers to these..), even when these accusations may never have any chance of sticking anyway..
Sometimes it may be to simply make more trouble for someone, and a lot of times the victim of false testimony never gets to know who is doing it - the right (in 'natural' and 'common' law..) of every suspect "to face their accuser" seems to have vanished from the modern-day legal system.
And a lot of times these 'innocent accused' , these days, are left to cover their own expenses - how can they (or the courts themselves..) regain their costs, if their accusers don't have to come forward and be identified?

Yes, the ability to accuse a person of a serious crime without having to show themselves has led to a lot of abuse. The cowards have come out from under their rocks with these laws of today.
I am not in trouble with the law. The police were really good with me, knowing that I was doing nothing wrong. They were just doing their job as they must do.
I have been informed that even if you are in your own backyard, you are still committing an offence if your neighbour see's you from their backyard. Nothing against them from putting their eyes into another's backyard though.
Had the person come over and spoke to me personally, I would have had a reasonable discussion with them. Like most people in this world today, they took the cowards way out.

Ahh, men with children.
Due to the destruction of society by many groups such as the hateful, bitter and destructive femo-nazi's, society has learnt to hate men.
Every time I went out with my eldest child who was up to 4 years old then, I was watched, monitored, even approached and suspiciously questioned by women. They had to think that a male with a child must be a sexual predator.
I studied Youth Work at a Technical College then went to University for Social Work for families and youth education. I only stayed one year as when people learnt what I was studying, I was treated as a paedophile 99% of the time. One woman at university told me that any man who wants to work with children only wants to have sex with them, then went to attack men for refusing to work with children. Idiot!
A woman who owned the childcare centre my eldest was attending, told me that she was going to employ a male but 90% of all the mothers told her that if she employs just one male, they would remove their children. Really, do these mothers that have sons, hate their boys for being boys?

I know a 55 year old man who looks after his 6 year old son on weekends. He has always been in the habit of walking around his house naked for a short period after showers, and after a swim in his pool etc. His estranged partner decided to try and prevent his weekend access to his son on the basis that he was a pedophile. It cost many thousands for the legal defense which she lost and he has rightly maintained his weekend access becasue he had done nothing wrong.

Spider, I understand how it feels to be looked at under a microscope. I work in child care and have endured some double-standard opinions. Thankfully, those closed-minded people are in the small minority.

Unfortunatly , it only takes one of those busybodies to make a huge mess of an innocent mans life.

Well, I am not certain about them being a minority when I found that just about every single person labelled me as a sexual predator of children just because I was studying to work with children.
Men don't work with kids for a very good reason. Those that do, are very special people.

Even in Yahoo! newsgroups the word c.h.i.l.d.r.e.n is very sensitive and can result in a group being deleted without warning. And has!
So we get round it by referring to:
- youngsters
- ankle biters (Australian lingo)
Anything but the dreaded word!
I own an Aussie Yahoo group where the dreaded word is not permitted at all. We moderate posts so can advise the poster to edit the original message before approval.

Let me restate something for clarification:
"Thankfully, those closed-minded people are in the small minority where I work."

At least on a mountain bike fuel consumption could be measured in kms/litre of beer...
