Hillsborough County will be meeting tomorrow evening to vote on an ordinance that will be harmful to nudists. Please help by sending them email at http://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/mail/email.html

and telling them you don't want this passed. Those in favor of this bill have sent 4000 emails in and we are way behind. It is your duty as a nudist to help us all when you can and this is a fast and painless way of doing that. Tampa is a tourist town so email from anywhere will be helpful. Take 5 minutes from your day and make a difference.

Dear Naturist,

The Naturist Action Committee continues to keep close watch on a
potentially explosive situation in Florida. The Board of County
Commissioners (BOCC) of Hillsborough County, Florida, has been presented
with a proposal for a new and unnecessary anti-nudity ordinance that
threatens naturists directly.

NAC needs your help. On Tuesday, July 29, the commissioners will hold a
"workshop" session on the issue, followed by public comment and a vote.

PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND THE MEETING

The Naturist Action Committee strongly urges concerned naturists to
attend
the meeting on July 29 and to convey their opposition to the ordinance by
their
presence and their voices.

WHEN : Tuesday, July 29, 6:00 pm. Try to be there a half hour early.
WHERE: The Commissioners' offices and boardroom are located on
the 2nd floor of County Center, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd. in downtown
Tampa.

BACKGROUND

The proposed ordinance is being pushed by anti-nudity activist David
Caton of the Florida Family Association. Caton claims his target to be
Tampa's adult entertainment establishments, but the wording of the
ordinance directly affects naturists, too.

Adult business interests will be represented, but they don't speak for
naturists. Naturists must be heard, too!

CONTACT THE COMMISSIONERS

NAC also asks naturists to contact the Hillsborough County Commissioners.
Calls and correspondence from county residents are most valuable, but NAC
is asking naturists everywhere to help. The commissioners need to hear
from naturists before the July 29 meeting! Please call or write or e-mail
- or do all three!
