On an email list of which I am a member, there has been talk of censorship of books, especially a topic where one person wanted examples of WTF censorship.

And while there were some insane reasonings for different books, one person wrote in about "Where's Waldo". In one of those books, in one of the scenes, there are two boys dripping ice cream on a woman who is sunbathing on her back, her bikini strap untied. Apparently, she was positioned to show one of her breasts showing.

One of the respones for that was all that hoopla for a breast 1/36 of an inch small http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I then asked about other books censored or talked about for illustrated nudity.

The list includes "Draw Me a Star" by Etic Carle (Talked about in the Religious Forum (http://clothesfreeforums.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9400016152/m/5090030643), page 2 for picture} because one of the page has a picture of "Adam and Eve" with very little anatomical correctness.

"Mr. McGee and the Biting Flee" by Pamela Allen because of an anatomically, but minute, Mr. McGee.

"Annick ABC" by Roger Pare because the letter N is for "Nudist eating Noodles in Naples and the accompanying picture, which was described as "benign".

"I am Cherry Alive" by Delmore Schwartz because "Children will be led to believe that seeing naked girls is OK."

Maurice Sendak's "In the Night Kitchen" for a picture of the main cahracter (Mikey, a toodler) in a dream naked and, as has been used by the complaintants, for sexual strutting.
