About 5 years ago I had been swimming at a remote swimming hole on a hiking trail 7 miles from a small town. The nearest house was over two miles away, and the trail was not frequently used. I stayed later than I had expected, so I decided to air dry as I walked down the trail. I carried my short pants in my hand. As I approached the road, I heard voices. I looked to see two guys cutting through the woods to the trail I was on. I covered with my shorts before they noticed me. As I passed by them, they mumbled some comments, and I thought that was the end of it.

Well, the other day I was in a convenience store when a guy started angrilly calling me names (pervert, etc) for no reason. As he continued to ramble on, he made a comment about me walking around through the woods naked up on East B Hill. Well, I haven't been back up there swimming since then due to work schedule, so I guess this must have been one of the guys I met that day. I just went about my business and ignored the poor fellow.

It is amazing how such a small incident can stay with a person so long and cause such hatred.

Seems to me, they should have said something the day of the incident instead of waiting. As Evlolving stated, it is evident the guy has not grown up yet. Anyhow, good luck and enjoy your 'nude' place. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif

Seems to me ; these two clowns should get a life so that maybe they could leave others alone. I must also say that you do have a scary look about you.

As you should know people who live in any small rural town have only a very limited set of things to do and talk about. They all live a strict life and any deviation from that brings any kind of disparity.

There is nothing really to do that hasn't been done a billion times already so they talk about each other and any little nuance of difference is a great topic for conversation. You offered a very radical change in the main frame of life there and there are those that object. That will happen in any small rural town.

Is just the way it is, when in Rome do as the Romans do, and they don't do much but talk about it and draw judgement. Nothing else to do up there!
