Yes, she was the same Kristin who occasionally posted here, posted quite a bit at Cat's site (http://www.freebodyzone.com/index.php) and had her own webpage for a time.

She died suddenly from an undiagnosed heart defect - she was an athlete who loved to run all out, and was a devoted weight trainer, presumedly her heart couldn't keep up with her body.

NuTex, who posts on this forum was close to Kristin and informed us of her passing. Unfortunately that post no longer seems to exist in the archives.

It was a tragic ending for a brave young woman who deserved far better than she received.

Mark I found NuTex's post with a google search. The following is that post:

I haven't posted here in a while but I thought I needed to notify everyone of something I believe is important to the online naturist community.

Many of you may recall a young naturist named Kristin. She made a name for herself with her website "Kristin on the Web". For a while she posted here on the INA forum and could often be found on other naturist forums, such as Cat's Message Board.

It's my sad duty to announce that Kristin passed away on Dec 23, 2004. She died in her sleep from heart failure. Kristin was only 16.

Kristin was very outspoken and made many friends along with a few enemies in her time. Whether you agreed or disagreed with Kristin you always knew where you stood with her. She was a passionate advocate of naturism, gay rights, social justice, and feminism.

Over time Kristin and I grew close. I loved her as a daughter. She will be dearly missed.
Larry

That's terrible that she passed away, I don't know if she died from other thing such as, I think that I have read in Cat's Forum that she contracted STD, well I don't know if that's true.

Did Kristin have her own site? Also I read somewhere that she had myspace.

Kristin died of heart failure. We have the word of her cousin - whom NuTex knows.

She did have her own webpage, but she had taken it down long before.

Gymnos42 has created a Kristin Memorial page with links to many of her writings, along with obits and rememberances from her many friends. Be warned that some of Kristin's writing is raw and very honest about difficult situations and occasionally contains rough language.

I trust you've looked at the Kristin Memorial (http://home.swbell.net/so2001/kristinmemorial.html) website that Naturist Mark provided.

If so, you should have noticed this - She [Kristin] posted two blogs, one on Xanga and later one on My Space.

Mark, thanks for the link http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/applause.gif

Soooo, leafu, are you fishing for a nude photo of a dead girl?

She seems a troubled young girl who enjoyed nudism and who passed before finding her Way.

Better to remember her strong will and bright flame.

Let her go dude...

Just what are you looking for then? I seem to be just as confused as the rest of them.

If you want something specific....don't beat around the bush, just come out and ask. You might get the answer you are looking for.

Gosh darn, guys, what is your problem? Leafu is just asking if anyone knows where a picture of Kristin may be found, so he can see what she looked like! Seems completely reasonable to me! Do you guys write your local newspaper everyday and chew them a new one for including pictures of all the deceased in the obituary section of the paper? Lighten up, life is short, so play naked. And that phrase is to be taken both LITERALLY and FIGURATIVELY!

I heard it described as a congenital defect, if so she would have had it her entire life. I don't know of any heart ailment that can't be treated if known. I had a high school friend who nearly died of an unknown heart defect - a hole between heart chambers. He was a track athlete, and his coach recognized the warning signs and sent him to a doctor in time. Perhaps if Kristin's life hadn't been so uprooted by hatred and prejudice her family or school authorities or a coach might have saved her.

Since I am not that young I tend not to look at the Young Naturists threads, but I am glad I did. It just goes to show you not to take our youth for granted, they can be insightful and wise beyond their years. Even though she died so young, she still seemed to have lead a full and rich life.

Just an after thought. What happened to Kristin's girlfriend Caryn? I know that she died, but I did not read how.
