Please Look Twice (http://www.pleaselooktwice.com/) is a public service ad campaign in New South Wales, Australia that uses video of nude motorcyclists of all shapes and sizes on the streets of Sydney to remind motorists to "look twice" to notice motorcycles sharing the road with them by asking them "what do we need to do to get noticed?"

If they rode nude, you'd notice them ...

I found myself laughing my A-- off.

As a cyclist I have to say that while I am glad to see the nude riders wearing good helmets and proper protective footwear, I find it scary to consider street riding nude. Even a minor spill would create nasty road rash. Give me denim and leather.

Although ... I have ridden small scooters nude inside a resort.

I rode my Goldwing nude for a short distance at Lake Como (had to vacate the room and relocate to the camping area). Well, I did have my boots on.

Almost zero traffic, short distance, slow speed, controlled conditions...yeah, I'd do it again.

Hello NudeWil. This ride you took was on the grounds of a nudist resort. I would imagine you would have zero traffic, slow speed, short distance, and controlled conditions. How about out there on the streets though? This is a humorous question and you do not have to respond if you do not wish to.

I have to agree. Although I would love to ride sometime nude, the thought of being unprotected is scary. Great commercial though.

Ken & aquaboy,

Yep. Protected is the way to go. If you haven't already seen it, here's a tale of extreme road rash (http://www.speedfreakinc.com/content/articles/riding/roadrashqueen.html).

I have many years of riding experience, I do refresher training every couple of years, and I have had very few crashes. While the thought of riding the street nude is appealing, my imagination of what can go wrong without warning--and the result--is just too active.

I Bicycle nude...
note I do wear protective gear (see my photo..);
I would NOT motorcycycle nude - the consequences could be more painful.

However, it is good to see that Ad' was produced down here...
bet you won't even see that ad' in the good ol' US of A as long as the Bush regime keeps religious fundamentalists (=the moral minority..) in charge of your censorship bodies over there..
at least you do have a step in the right dierection with the return of Democrat majorities in your government; (now if only Australia, France, Canada, et al, will follow the lead of the USA and Germany, and dump their 'Tory' governments as well).

I think riding a motorcycle without a leather jacket or helmet is foolish, plus asking for a serious injury. I have been riding on and off road for over 40 years and always use protective gear, but I would not wear a helmet if the law did not require one for road riding.

I mtn. bike also, and ride nude whenever I can find a place, but use a helmet and glasses. Bugs in the eye aren't funny!

Protective gear is a must for sure. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/yes.gif
I've survived over 100 crashes with no lasting road rash. But, I have been so banged up, I almost think death would be easier than re-hab.
98% of the crashes were dirt track mishaps, etc. I gave up bike riding because I still love twisting that right hand.
