After reading a message by Gary Naturist on another site (hey Gary, why not bring it over here?), I thought about debating the topic versus acting out. Which do you think would affect people's opinions more: debating about nudism/naturism/public nudity or actually seeing it?

To me, it seems that in debating, the arguments can come out logically and no one has to actually think about their side. But in actually seeing/acting, emotion is what rules and emothions are harder to debate than logic. Also, in seeing nakedness, the person is actually debating with themselves about what they are seeing.

If anyone wants to comment about what I am saying, feel free but only if you can follow what I am saying /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I think that Bob S. is trying to state that it would be more efficient to act out nudity in the open, rather than just talking about it. Problem is, how do you debate with someone being nude and the other person is highly offended by the nudity? You just embarrassed that person, who would just up and leave. It would be better to debate with a non-nudist while you are both clothed. Did I comprehend what you are trying to say Bob S.? /infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Read Gary's "Doing it vs discussing it" (http://www.clothesfree.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=001151) to understand what I am talking about. I was trying to say it without bringing Gary's examples into view. It failed miserably.

I understand what you were stating. Thanks for the describing it to us, as to what you meant. Pretty clear now.
