Not only do my friends know, but most of my co-workers know, the supervisory staff knows (thier reaction when I threaten to come to work as a 'heppy camper' for Halloween is priceless) and the Officer-inCharge knows. Chucks, for all I know, my two BIG bosses (Rummy and W ) know!

Too many to count. Most of our friends and my co-workers know as well as many, many female co-workers.

We do have a few long time textile friends that do not know but the Prof is working on telling them as well in the very near future.

A good amount of people I know, know I partake in nudism. Few have joined me, even my ex gf. I tell people who are generally open minded and good spirited. The thing is I may say a little something about it but I won't go into detail unless someone is interested.

Many friends know of my penchant to go nude around the house and yard. Most of the family knows also, so they know to call ahead when coming for a visit. They know if they don't, they might find me gardening or mowing nude.

my neighbor knows and comes over and uses our pool nude all the time. Our privcy fence is over 6ft tall. one day someone was at the gate asking for directions the gate is only maybe 4 ft high, the guy never realized he was talking to a naked guy. My neighbor was out in his yard and cracking up. He knew I was nude.

I have very few who know, I have to say.

It's not that I care if people know; it's just not something that I feel the need to bring up in general conversation. If one of my friends or colleagues were to ask me the straight question, then I'd freely admit it.

And if any of them are reading these pages, then I won't be horrified if they ask me about it!

I don't broadcast the fact though, because people easily get the wrong ideas. I would only ever make a point of telling those who I feel are open-minded enough to deal with it.

I have one friend who knows that I am a naturist - and he has joined me (once). Besides that, only my ex-girlfriends and all of you here know! (Well, besides the countless people that I've encountered at the beach - but then they don't really know who I am, do they?)

Most of my friends know that I am nudist. Not because I go around talking about it all the time, but I do mention it occasionally in conversation. I have another friend who is a nudist as well, so we talk about it a lot, but most of my friends who are not nudists are very open to it. They don't treat me differently since they know that love being naked, I guess they just don't give it much thought really. I feel that I am very open about it.

Most of my friends know. It was funny for years I always tried to hide it. I had a GF who knew and her best friend did to because we all went to the nudist resort. Everyone knew that I always had a habit of getting naked when drunken pool parties happened. These days I have a censored nude pic for my myspace avatar that was taken on Haulover beach. I've gotten several friends and co-workers to go Haulover. These days I'm really glad that I'm more opened with it and only regret that I didn't 'come out' as a nudist earlier.

Only a handful of my close friends know that I'm a nudist. Some of my friends, I can just tell would be put off by it so I don't bother mentioning it to them and frankly that doesn't bother me.

But its cool being able to tell some of them and have positive reactions, and even better when they decide to take a naked dip in the hot tub with ya.

one seemed to know before i even told him; after my first trip to a naturist resort he was over at my apartment and i said, "guess where i went last weekend," and without missing a beat he said, "a nudist resort?"

i was like, d---, how did you know? since he knows, i now make no effort to cover up when he visits.

Most of my current friends know, but not the ones from high school or early college whom I only speak to once in a while. I gave a Powerpoint presentation on nudism at a Freethinkers Alliance meeting a few years ago, so the audience pretty much knew. I also make a point to tell prospective roommates before we sign the lease; though now that I am moving into a one-bedroom sans roommates, I don't have to do that anymore.

Some know, but I'm working it into conversation more often. I think the more people that know then better. You just might run into someone with the same interests. Those who might be uncomfortable with it will probably just not want to talk about it and leave it at that.

This thread has been around a couple of years, so I think I've probably posted a reply earlier. However, I'll add this additional thought.

In most instances it comes across better if people to whom you are close (family, close friends) hear it from you rather than from third party gossip. If you mention it without shame or embarrassment, they may still not understand, but they will be less likely to assume that you are doing something perverse or nasty.

Just about all of the people to whom we are close know that we go to naturist places, and every one of them knows that we live nude at home. There are two couples with whom we have established close friendships relatively recently, so I'll be finding a way to tell them soon. I'm sure it won't be a surprise.

I've tried to make everyone aware of my proclivities. However, some seem much more willing to receive the message than others. I get a lot of "tune-out" body language sometimes when I try to bring my nudism up. I guess that's understandable.

I have been a closet nudist for the past 2 or 3 years now; I guess I am still gettin used to it. I am aware of the benefits and the comfort from not being constricted by clothes. There are not a lot of places in the metro Phoenix area to hang out with other young naturists. Any suggestions to make myself and others I know more comfortable with being a nudist?
