Yea, I saw that in the paper. Too bad they aren't in their 'natural' attire. Maybe they, the officials, thought nudity will offend the general public. But that proves, even the officials are worried about the flack they may receive if the humans were not dressed. Too bad.
They could have at least gave the voluteers some 'cave-man' like attire. http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Were these ancient people or a scene from something contemporary?

I for one would love to be a part time exhibit if it was done correctly.
But what would a couple naked people do in an exhibit that would be interesting?
Maybe some acting would be needed. Like acting a little primative and going about survival chores as we might have had to back in the day?

I know a guy that would make a great Monkey.
But he'd probably just sit around rolling little balls of do do and throwing it at people like the real monkeys do.

I was greatly disappointed. It was a perfect opportunity to show the "natural" human nude AND NATURAL.

Well, there's plenty to do when you live in the wild!
Perhaps we need to have a pool of volunteer families, each spending a week or two in rotation in a human exhibit. A suitable natural area would have nuts and fruit, edible vegetables for us to harvest. The exhibit should have a pond for swimming, grassy meadows with some shade trees here and there.
If the human exhibit had heated areas, we could be nude and should be for the sake of authenticity.
Put me down for any available time slots next June. I'll do my part, if the zookeepers keep the public from being rude.

I saw it on the news and they were wearing faux leaves in the "appropriate places" on top of their bikinis and shorts/bathing trunks/whatever the men were wearing.
On the clip I saw, they were trying to act like monkeys by pretending to pick bugs off each other's hair and eating them. Kind of stupid I thought.

Bob, that angers me! It was wrong for them to link nudity (or near-nudity) to a point in human history when our ancestors were brutish and apelike.
I wonder if this human zoo hasn't done more harm than good. I do believe that a picture is worth a thousand words and that people should see examples of humans living nude in nature.
There remain a few cultures that live in harmony with nature and whose members tend to be nude most of the time.
I would have preferred the depiction of hunter-gatherers or subsistence farmers living in nude simplicity. In fact, that is a lifestyle I aspire to.
People of European descent are generally many generations removed from such a lifestyle, but much of the body of knowledge necessary for living off the land is still available.
The path of industrialism and high technology is not the only way to live and in my opinion, not the best way.
There are those who are pursuing a greener path in various forms.
Why not Green Nudists? Sounds interesting you might say, so what a Green Nudist?
1. Someone who grows most of his or her own food or gathers it from the wild.
2. Someone who is a student of nature, knowledgeable of local plants, animals, weather.
3. Someone who spends considerable time roaming wild places.
4. Someone who relishes full contact with his environment, something that only nudity can permit.
Those of European descent sometimes look wistfully at video depictions of tribal nudity in some lush setting, but they forget that a few centuries ago, living nude and close to nature was part of their cultural heritage too.
Take back your nude heritage!
