SAN DIEGO -- A nudist resort in East County plans on hosting the 1st Annual Southwest Nudist Network's Naked Games starting later this month.

The events are being held between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4 the DeAnza Springs resort in Jacumba, not far off of Interstate 8.


"In the style of the ancient Olympiads, and the nude recreation weekend we used to hold in the forest of Northern Arizona, the Southwest Naturist Network and DeAnza Springs Resort are teaming up and gathering together the members of all nudists, naturists and clubs who can join us for an event we hope to make an annual celebration of nude recreation in the Southwest," says the Naked Games 2007 Web site.

People attending the event at the clothing-optional resort will face off in bodybuilding and body-painting contests, as well as "tattoo demonstrations, recreation, races and games for young minds of all ages!"

"It's one of the biggest weekends ... I would say 400 to 500 people," said Kimberly Wolfe, the office manager of DeAnza Springs's.

According to the resort's web site, DeAnza Springs is situated on 500 acres and has tennis courts and horseshoe pits as well as a pair of swimming pools, volleyball courts and hiking trails.

I always get a kick out of the raw egg carry thing. When my brother was young I would put a big potato chip in the crack of his butt while he was sleeping. CRUNCH !!! Ha! He would 'clamp' up on that right away and would he get p******* off !!!! Was good for a laugh, and I still laugh about it.

I wonder if anyone on the CF Forum knows anything about the Southwest Nudist Network. They are a new Arizona group (started in 2005) and seem to be organized very much like the Canyon State Naturists who are also Arizona based. Good to see new groups forming even if they are 400 miles away from me. I hope their joint effort with De Anza Springs is a big success.

Great place to visit, especially if you like to freehike.

The surrounding Anza Borrego Desert is a good place to freehike. However, it is too damn hot now and this is the wrong time of year to go freehiking there unless done in very early morning or later in evening.

I join sanslines in the comment regarding the nature of the games. I was under the (mistaken) impression that there were 'real" sporting events at these games. Naturally, the marathons are more than "real" but I would think rather limited in participation as most of us can not complete this lenght of a run.

Will they please make the Naked Games free to download like the WNBR of the past? i dont have the money to join yet, give a guy a break at least once.
