How many nudists on this site have, at one time or another, told your neighbors of your nudity? Did you make contact with them for their consent, or did you just "roll the dice", hoping not to get caught?

This is more like a follow-up on a thread concerning nudity and the neighbors. I just thought how many out there, actually talked to their neighbors before going nude. At the same time, how many out there did not make contact with their neighbors, and risked getting caught. I, for one, did not make contact with my neighbors initially, but sinced I started going nude more and more, I eventually got the nerve and personally asked them for their objections, which I did not receive.
My votes are based on my being a full time home nudist, when I did make contact with them to seek their stand on nudity. Before last year, I did sneak out in the yard, but only at night, or when no one was home (I thought). I would put up a piece of plywood between us and would hide behind it. Now everything is out in the open, and I can now work freely in my yard with nothing on, knowing I have the approval of three of my neighbors.
The fourth one is still up in the air. I haven't made contact with her yet, elderly lady, but I'll work on it. The way the pool sits in our yard, I'm not in the open so much with her house, as I am with the others. Although, yesterday, there were people over there working in their yard, and I made a brief nude appearance, without knowing they were there. I don't know if they saw me or not, but I quickly made it back behind the pool, and out of their line of sight.

nudeM, Unfortunately if you have not yet got the consent of your neighbor, you can not answer question 2. So many can not vote unless you reword the questions.
I wouldn't dare be nude in my yard. The neighbor on one side put up a 6' fence between our homes when his boy looked from their yard into my back window and saw me in my underwear--when I used to wear them.

I don't ask their permission. I just go about my business without clothes.

Our back yard is separated from the neighbors on either side by a solid 6 foot high fence and cedars, which grow higher than the fence. Under some circumstances they can still see into our yard. One neighbor, who has an above ground pool with a deck which abuts the fence. This affords them a view of our yard through the trees when they are standing on the deck next to the fence. I have never asked their permission, but I know they have seen me nude on occasion. The closest we came to discussing it was at a party where he mentioned they could see through the trees, which of course I knew anyway. I knew his wife often sunned topless when he and their 25 year old daughter were swimming, so I figured they wouldn't likely object too strenuously.
I told another neighbor who lives 2 doors down I like to swim and sun in the nude and she replied I should be free to do as I liked in by back yard, as it is quite secluded. I took her at her word and the next time she came over for a swim I took off my clothes and joined her nude. There was no problem.
Two other male neighbors and a third friend go camping each summer with me. I told them I like to be nude and asked if they would be uncomfortable with that. They said no problem, so weather permitting, I camp nude for a week. This same friend has a hot tub and knowing my nudist tendencies, has invited me to join them nude in their hot tub several times.
I have concluded that if the subject comes up, it is better to tell people and maximize the opportunities for them to allow me to be nude with them.

I guess half the "science" in a "scientific poll" is the design of the presentation. /infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
