I was able to enjoy part of the "Nude Weekend" this Saturday (July 13 2002) at Red Rock Beach. It started out fairly cold and I made the mistake of taking a dip -- I was practically freezing (at least I was shivering and chattering like I was). Eventually, however, the sun came up and I was able to warm up.

On my first visit in June, I was dissapointed; there were not many people and it was very cold. Now there were quite a few people. It was so neat! I was able to be nude in front of a number of other people (females included) and it wasn't sexual! I had to battle with the keeping of it nonsexual (physically) a little bit though.

I'm not used to spending a lot of time in the sun, so my skin got to feeling a bit hot. Had to watch out for ants too. Other than that, I had a very nice time. If only it didn't have that stigmatism...

Was this your first social nude experience? I'm 56 and got into social nudity just last year, and now I'm hooked! I love being nude and hate wearing clothes.

I just spent 7 days and 6 nights at Turtle Lake Resort in MI. It stormed the first night and was cold the second day because of it. After that the days were quite warm, but the nights got down into the 50's. That's a little too cool on these old bones while sleeping in a tent. There is no experience like being nude for a week outdoors. I wish I could live that way all the time. Be nude and have fun! /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Oh! I hated to have to get dressed and come back after a week of being nude! There was hardly anyone there all week until Saturday, but I did meet a few very nice people there. I got an E-mail address from a trucker who was there for one night. Then I forgot and washed it when I washed the shirt it was in. I will wait and see if he E-mails me, not that it matters since I'll probably never see him again although he visits there now and then. I met a very nice 40-year-old black woman, and a number of other very large ladies. I'm being polite when I say very large. However, they were also very friendly. that's all that really matters to me is friendliness. I wasn't looking to pick up a woamn, although I would have liked to meet one my age or thereabouts.

There was a teenage girl there who was apparently new to social nudism. At the lagoon she held a towel in front of her as she undressed--someone else pointed it out to me because I wasn't looking her way--then she held she arms over her breasts as she ran for the water. But at least she did it. Too many people won't even try social nudity because of being overly modest, or they're embarrassed about some defect--real or imagined. That girl did it even though she was apparently shy and embarrassed about it.

I found out that Turtle Lake Resort has been for sale for the last 5 years. If I had the money I'd buy it in a heartbeat. They've let most of their staff go, and the place is not properly maintained--particularly the cleaning aspect of it. I certainly hope that if someone buys it that they don't change it into something other than a nudist resort. I also heard that a police officer is starting a nudist club soemwhere near that area. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

This was my first really out-in-the-open-walking-around-alot social nude experience. My very first time I was practically alone. I talked to one guy (I think his picture is on the web site (http://www.redrockbeach.com)) when I was getting ready to leave.

I didn't get to talk to many people. I'm a bit shy. There was a group that was really doing stuff togther though. One thing that kind of put me off was the amount of gawkers (guys sitting up on the rocks like they had nothing better to do). They were big groups of people, some would walk through the beach to get to the other side and would sit on the rocks. They were fully dressed, like they'd just come from work or something.

I'm glad to here about all of you nice experiences.

Hey, thanks for responding to my post /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif , I really appreciate it.

Red Rock Beach is a beautiful beach. Been there several times and the water is always cold. Usually the best weather is in Sept& Oct.I was there the day of the Loma Prieta Earth quake and it was a fantastic day so I stayed late and otherwise could have ended up in the Cypress freeway colapse.
