Well, has everyone finished all of their Christmas shopping? I was at the WalMart in a city named Redlands near my town of San Bernardino,CA at midnight trying to finish mine! They are normally open 24 hours a day. But they will close at 6PM on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. I didn't get home until after 2AM this morning! When I leave here, I have to go to work at my second job! I'm doing everything I can to stay awake because I feel like a zombie! Anyway, I hope you all finished your shopping because I am still not done! I couldn't find everything I was looking for! Take care!

Ken, I always do my holiday shopping in January after the "White Sales" and put away the purchases until the year end holidays. Saves the strain on the wallet, nerves and time.

I hate shopping, the only thing worse is Christmas shopping!

I finished but we weren't quite finished. I had to let the wife finish the last little bit. It's finally all done and so is our bank account.

Hi, Ken. I do very little Christmas shopping, more Chanukah and winter holiday shopping. I only bought for my grandkids, daughter, and husband.

Hugs and happy holidays,

I'm not a big fan of shopping either. And I absolutely try to stay out of the stores from Thanksgiving until after New Years. Given that our family has 3 birthdays during this time plus the holidays I can't avoid it. However, I try to get all my shopping done before Thanksgiving and any that I don't finish gets done from the comfort of my home computer. Crowds have become a thing of the past (I hope).

Better get out and get those bargains where you have only 365 days left before Christmas 2006!

I can imagine the 3 wise men on their trek to Betheleham passing by signs "Sale!" or other statements that the first Christmas is about to begin and for all to invent and then use those charge cards, wraps, cut down christmas trees, invent sants, flying reindeer....

Sheesh!

Is a shame the true reason of the holiday has taken a far back seated second place to shop till you drop to support the economy of the greatest nation the world has ever seen by bastardizing the religious event with capitolistic venues.

And the same thing has been done with Easter. The money changers tell you "Is for the kids!" to get your buy in on that but then once they get that notion in place they start to expand and expand they did, and most have fallen inot this trap.

Why not send a card and note to someone or a phone call during the year to tell someone you are thinking of them? Why wait till that obligitory time of year to do a mechanical process? Doing it during the year for no other reason than you are interested in the person expresses true feelings which are much better felt and given than this mechanical obligation once a year.

Christmas as it is celebrated today ..... Phooey!

As John Lennon so very aptly said "So this is Christmas, what have you done?"

Its funny -- I was in the Walgreens last night getting a prescription filled for my sick little boy. It was the only store open in the area at 10pm. There were about 30 people in there doing their "last minute" shopping. I have never waited that late.... but I guess to some, this is the spirit of Christmas.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New year!!!
