This is actually a topic started by Prometheus in Suggestions but I have hi-jacked it and brought it over here.

My pet peeve (or one of my pet peeves) is people on the forum that gripe about a topic being brought up and is old news to them so they think it should be closed. For some reason they apparently think since they have hashed it out then newbies should somehow know the answers.

If the griper is tired of a topic, why can't they just move on without posting their tripe.

If it were only newbies asking, then maybe I'd feel differently, however, each time certain threads are brought up, it brings the same old arguements, and idiotic reasoning that goes on for 45, 50, 100 messages that go absolutely nowhere!

Now, since you brought this thread to life, here's my pet peeve...morons who keep posting the same dribble over and over again, hoping that they might actually convince someone they have a brain!

I recognize that I WILL be labeled as intolerant, but if that is the way it is...so be it. There are reasons why clubs and resorts have the rules they do, whether it be erections, public acts of sex, or singles ratio. READ the FAQs, do a little research. LEARN what is appropriate, and abide by it!

Everytime these topics make the longest threads, anyone who is searching for a reason to bash nudism already has all their ammunition handed to them! What better way to prove our perverse tendencies than to come here and 25 or 30 nudist threads talking about how it's okay to have erections, or how being nude makes us feel "sexy", or how 'nudism and sex can't be separated', or PENIS SIZE, of all things!

INA has gone the extra mile to remove URLs from porn sites that contain nudism or any other variation thereof. This fact should not go without merit, but when the forums seem to be a veritable joy read of erotica, have we helped their cause? I don't think so.

Maybe, I'm just tired of having grown men show me their penis on webcams through Yahoo, or maybe I'm just tired of sitting a computer TALKING about being nude, rather than going outside and BEING nude! Whatever, I'm just tired...tired of all the so called nudists who just want my permission to pop a woody in front of me and my wife...tired of all the nudists who have all the answers, and none of the experience...tired of being tired of it all.

I guess it would go without saying that this is the last post from me in a while. I think I'll go outside now, and BE nude!

txknude - please go outside tomorrow, i'm sure some fresh aire will do you some good.

shaybare - i think this site is here for the young people. the administrators are young. there are lots of young newbies searching for answers which is why certain topics keep coming up. maybe the grumpy people on this site (i have been accused of being one of the grumpy ones) can just pass by the repetitive questions and leave jon-marc, myself, and others to try and help them out.

i ignore the jokster posts when i am not in the mood for them; if people do not like the repetitive posts, than just ignore them.

My pet peeve is new or visiting people to nudist or clothing optional resorts who are obviously not nudists.

Males who constantly nudge themselves thinking no one else notices.

Females who cross their legs and act as if there on a rocking horse that won?t stop.

Come on folks, nudist not only notice these insecure exhibitionist and masturbatory techniques, they just don't care about the angle of the dangle, exhibition, or masturbating in the nude while other nudist are at the pool, restaurant, or on the deck or grounds.

Just be nude, natural, and enjoy the freedom and enjoyment of nude recreation.

Shaybare: I guess I qualify in the category of the ones who get tired of reading the same "old" questions and reading the same "old" answers. Several topics, that have been asked and answered many times over do get old, to some of us "older" participants. While I understand that a lot of these questions come from new members, I just thought the moderators would have a section listing all of the past questions and answers that had been asked in the past. But I have come to the conclusion, that if an old question keeps popping up and getting answered, especially from new members, then I'll just slide past that thread, or maybe even assist at times.

As for TXKnudes' position, it does get old when "older" participants keep asking the same questions, hoping to get "the answer they are seeking". Also, TXKnude, don't leave us now. It's been a pleasure reading your posts. There are those who I enjoy reading and those who I don't. Your posts are on the positive side of issues raised which keep people coming back for more. We'll miss you. At least, pop up every now and then.

On this forum I have learned alot in the short time that I've been here. The most important thing that I see is that nudists are more like textiles than they want to believe when it comes to personal behaviors and belief. Sure we nudists believe in not wearing clothes when we can but other than that we are not much different.

TXKnude's thought that by discussing some of the threads here will make nudism look bad to non-nudist I don't agree with. One of the things that nudist say is that we are just like everybody else only we do things nude when given the chance.

Newbies are coming from a textile world and the majority of nudist live in a textile world. Newbies and the majority of nudists are greatly influenced by the media every day. With that much bombardment, it is not at all surprising to me of the threads that "pop" up. Pardon the pun.

As older nudists we can help steer people to "nude think", if you will. But we do not have to. We can try to be helpful because we are some of the " friendliest " people in the world or allow others on the forum to do it. We are not obligated to say anything to them We are not obligated to even read any of it. If we say anything to the newbies I think it should show that we are indeed friendly and helpful. In my mind to do otherwise is harmful to nudism.

When I joined this forum no one on the forum new that I had been a nudist for almost 30yrs. As far as anyone else knew, I was a newbie. I did not receive any instructions from the administrators on where to look for faq's or any thing like that. Therefore, it is up to us, the forum members, to help out the newbie and, yes, some that are not so new. As an analogy ( maybe not a very good one but an analogy nonetheless ) I can see it as a grade school teacher. Year after year he/she is teaching the same thing over and over. What if the teacher went to the principal and said "Hey, this is old stuff and I'm am not going to teach it anymore, I'm just going to write some stuff upon the chalk board and the kids can just read that so I can get on with my life."

Along with nudeM and I am sure others, I will miss your postings, I consider them invaluable. We may not agree but I learn more from those that I do not agree with. I've even been known to change my position on a topic when confronted with new information.

Forever Nude,
Shaybare

PS It is not the younger generation that will change and do things the way they use to be done. It is the older generation that must give way to the younger. That's life. C'est la vie.(sorry 'bout that chicken scratch)

All kidding aside, to the ones who are tired of the same old questions, same old answers: Just answer once, then let it go. Some here are new and can't begin to read through all the "Quotes" Quoted by....So say what you have to say and be done with it...Don't keep repeating yourself.... Don't keep repeating yourself...Don't, oh you get it. (The voices made me repeat it) /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Have a good evening.
