I'd want to convert somebody in the mainstream....who could bring awareness to young people today. So....if a guy, maybe Justin Timberlake. If a girl, somebody like Kelly Clarkson.

Both seem to have good morals and are not too flashy. So...one of those.

As I spent over 20 years with someone that was totally against the naturist lifestyle, I would given the chance want to still convert the ex wife to lifestyle even though we very rarely speak these days.

I am currently on my own and if I was fortunate enough to get involved with someone new I would of course want to convert them, but like most people I wouldnt force anyone into this choice of lifestyle, I would prefer that they choose it themselves.

Going with the theme of choosing people who are in the media spotlight and could use their noteriety to help the "cause" I would go with:

Lance Armstrong; he is a clean-cut athlete who has overcome incredible adversity. He may have scars from surgery, or an imperfect body, which is often seen as a barrier to enjoying nudism

Demi Moore; she is a bit of a rebel and has spunk to her. I've always been a big fan I guess.

While they are at it, they can bring along Sheryl Crow and Ashton Kutcher . . .

Reading the responses, it's amazing how many have reluctant spouses.

There's only one person I wish I could have converted; it was my next door neighbor before I moved. Our homes were set up in such a way that we could have co-joined our backyards, without anyone else being able to see into it. We could have then agreed on sharing a pool; and his daughters and mine would have been able to play nude together in the backyard.

I have talked to some of my better friends about body freedom and in some cases nudism. Naturally, I would like to see an influential political figure come over to our side and take an open stand for nude recreation and adopting a more "European" attitude about the unclothed body.

How about the county commissioner for Chatham County Georgia? Maybe that could lead to a nude beach on Tybee Island just east of Savannah Georgia.

But this is a story of the chicken and the egg. That is, if Chatham County were to elect a nudist to political office, wouldn't there need to be a more relaxed attitude about clothing among more of the voting public down there?

Hello Trailscout. I do think there would be great difficulty in getting a nudist elected in that part of the country. My older sister lives in Stone Mountain,G.A. That is the better part of bible belt area. They are very religious and conservative down there unless I am mistaken. But nevertheless, that is an extremely good idea. It sure would be nice if we could get a figure like that in office in an attempt to possibly change existing attitudes towards nudism/naturism. But I also feel it would definitely be an uphill battle for him/her. If it were to happen though, I would be behind them 100%!

I think most of us would like to see either our mates or significant others converted to nudism/naturism. But all of us guys already know that it is extremely difficult to do that, and plus most ladies or girls feel uncomfortable with the idea anyway. I have always argued this since I was old enough to understand the concept and principles of nudism. It has always been difficult for a single male nudist to find a single female intersted in becoming a nudist. First of all, most will flatout think that you are a pervert because "you just want to see her naked." At least that is what my experience has been. I hope I did not drag this topic out too far here! If I did, I apologize!

For me, that's easy. I would love to convert my daughter. She is 33 and is a great girl, but always uptight. I think if I finally converted her she would be a lot more open with her feelings. She knows my b/f and I are nudists and has no problem with it but says it is not for her. She won't know until she tries.

My first thought was to convert my "Stuck in the Mud" Sister in Law. But come to think of it, I don't much care for her company anyway.
My wife is as "converted" as she's going to get. She will spend a little time nude with me, but can't take the next step as far as being nude with other people around.
I've never broached the subject with my kids. For all I know they may already be nudists. Most likely not.
Obviously, I'd like to convert all of my Friends and Family to nudism. But like most of us, I know that isn't going to happen either.
So I guess that leaves someone with Power and Influence. Someone that would have the courage to stand before the masses and Speak freely about the benefits of nudism.

It couldn't be a Politician. Nobody believes what they say anyway.
Not an Actor. Too many people would pass it off as a publicity stunt.
Hmmm... Someone that can Influence large numbers of people with a single statement. Someone that commands Respect from nearly everyone.
Someone with the ability to convey his message nation/world wide.

I'm thinking... Billy Graham.

But then again, I doubt if he would be willing to have a one on one chat with me anytime soon.

I would like each nudist to convert a politician, beit a local, state, or federal lawmaker. If we can convert them, we can assure that our rights will be taken seriously.

We could get more recognized beaches complete with lifeguards, less laws regulating nudist parks, no chance of being placed on THE LIST just for being naked in public, etc.

How about instead of one individual we do one profession. I would convert all political or religious leaders. Say the president of all countries and the highest rank person of each church/faith. Then we'd be in pretty good shape.

WOW, here it is, my 200th post!!!! Oh yeah, back to the subject... Since all politics is local, I'd first convert our local politicians. Our locals first because they enact the silly ordinances, (in the name of family values of course), such as no thongs on the beach etc. Then I'd take the next step and convert our Richmond lawmakers. Were they nudists, they'd have NEVER enacted the bills they did against parental rights and White Tail Park.

The one person I would covert to be a nudist is my wife, I'm already halfway there. I can't really pick one pre se, but the choices would be between my fiance, my best friend, and my mom. They all could benefit from greater body acceptance, self-esteem, and self confidance.

My fiance has some major body issues and major self esteem issues which i think would be fixed if she became nudist, though she has gone to a C/O resort with me once but she only went topless. She has said she might try it again eventually http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

My best friend has some body image problems even though he is in pretty good shape, for instance when he goes to the pool or a water park he wears a T-shirt with his swimsuit. He has these issues because he has small breasts and he has been made fun of when was younger. Even around the house he never goes around without a shirt except in the morning from his room to the bathroom for a shower and then straight back to his room. So, I think he could benefit from nudism, plus it would be cool to have someone to go with that I've known since pre-school http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif.

And then there's my mom who has major body issues, major self esteem issues, and major self-confidance issues. She used to be in great shape and always seemed happy, though i think she worked out and stayed in shape to prove something to herself or to maybe feel better about herself which may or may not have worked. She could definately benefit from nudism and that would also improve our relationship since she knows i'm a nudist and currently does not approve of it at all. my wife. I can get her to go topless often in the house and sometimes if i'm lucky she will be totally nude. But i'm still working on getting her to a nude beach. Problem is the closest one is 4 hours away, so its more of a time comitment task to go there and convince her that its worth the drive to do that. I think if were closer I might be able to talk her into it. Dont know if she would participate or not, she suprises me sometimes though. She did once say that if we went to the caribbian or somewher of that nature she'd go nude at a beach, so thats promising.

My better half is also a nudist, so I guess I am one of the lucky guys on here. We can always invite nudist friends over, and accept invites from them for clothing optional get togethers as a couple.
I would choose my best friend back east as the one I have been trying to convert. It would be easier on us when he visits here, and we want to be nude but don't out of respect for his ideals. If he were a nudist, it would also open his life to a whole other group of friends and possible mates.
