Rather than post the details here, I will point you to the Pilgrim website =

The group goes to Woods Hole, leaves on the ferry there to the Vineyard and returns that afternoon/evening.
If you are in the Boston area, contact the website for info on carpooling, etc.

Thanks UL -
I'll add the details just in case...
Day trip to the nude beach at Gayhead (Aquinnah)
on Martha's Vineyard Island
===============================================
Join us for this perennial favorite to a nude area on Martha's Vineyard Island, Massachusetts, at Aquinnah (Gayhead) near the Gayhead lighthouse.
Travelers take the 9:30 AM ferry from Woods Hole Ferry Terminal on Cape Cod (just south of Falmouth) for the crossing to Oaks Bluff on the island. There you meet up with Pilgrim's Steve Giblin who will already be on the island ahead of everyone. Steve meets people with a Pilgrim sign at the dock. From there you will share the cost of taxis or a shuttle van to get to the beach. Arrival at the beach itself is late morning.
Bring everything you need for a several hour stay including a cover up in the event of a cool sea breeze or too much sun, sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher recommended) snacks and liquid refreshments. We also recommend some good sandals or sneakers for a short crossing over a rocky area of the beach to the traditional nude zone.
Late afternoon the taxis return to pick the group up for the return trip back to town, this time to Vineyard Haven. Travelers can then elect to return to the mainland or remain on the island for some touristing, dinner, and a later ferry. Some people return to the mainland and take in Woods Hole or other Cape Cod offerings.
Overall estimated cost for the trip including parking, round trip ferry, and the cost of taxi share runs about $35 per person on the average. Those car-pooling and sharing parking will have a lesser cost of course.
Steve has a plan for public transit travelers from the Boston area. Ask for details and we will have Steve contact you. It is possible!
Alternate Ferry service is available from Quonsett Point in Narragansett, RI but the RI ferry arrives at a different time. Anyone using this ferry needs to let Steve know so he can meet that boat and hold the group till everyone is there from both crossings.
Get a ferry schedule! Don't get stuck on the island!

You must register with us at the following e-mail address with name, e-mail, number in party, and contact phone. Steve will need your phone in the event of last minute changes, bad weather, etc. We will give you Steve's number in return if you have any questions.
Any inclement weather announcements or changes will be posted to our toll free number at 1-866-867-2932. Rain date is usually the following Sunday, July 16.
This trip will repeat on Aug 26 (27).
