It woud depend on your computer.

This site has a number of pics, which take longer to load than regular text. What would be interesting to know is what kind of modem this site's computer runs on. 56K? Cable?

While I voted that they're no slower than any other website, that's because ALL websites are slow.

Just a little note from me, the webmaster. I try to balance quality and speed along with good, but not too compressed graphics. Our dedicated server is a Sun Microsystem computer with Linux and Apache software. Our server is located in Irvine, CA here: http://www.exodus.net/global_infrastructure/network/index.html
Our server is right next to Washington Mutual Bank's servers and many other large companies' servers. I had to go past two armed guards and a metal detector just to see our server. Anyway, when it comes to downloading many photos and videos the internet still has a long way to go but we are at the cutting edge for 2002.

Hint for videos: download everything, then come back later and watch it all.

I view this site from the UK and had assumed that the relative slowness was somehow linked to the distance from your server. Compared with other discussion boards which I visit from time to time this one is definitely slower.

But it's not speed that counts: it's quality /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
