Well, not a nudist per se, more of a newbie nudie. I took my first venture into nudism today at Glen Eden Sun Club in Corona, California. I was'nt as nervous as I thought I would be after driving up the road and parking. Once I got inside and registered I was starting to get a bit nervous, especially when there was going to be an interview. The staff there made me feel very comfortable even though I am a single male in my thirties, which I was afraid would be counted against me but there were two other singles guys that were there and they got the same tour. After the interview I waited outside and saw my first naked people strolling by. Suddenly I became less and less nervous as I was not shocked at seeing them. After the tour I was told that we had to get undressed and then go back to our cars leave our clothes as they don't have lockers. Getting undressed in front of everone was something I never thought I'd do and that was quite an experience but nothing could have prepared me once I got inside the actual resort facility. This of course was during the tour and I still had my clothes with me. Seeing that many naked people in one area was almost an out of body experience. I could not believe I actually here standing in the nude. I was afraid that people would stare at me but it was completely normal and natural in every way, other then everone being Buck Naked. The club was packed with people of different ages, sexes and nationalities. All of different shapes and sizes. It's almost a surreal experience being with other naked people, in a way you see each other without any preceived notions. It's quite sensual in a way because normally you would have to be intimate with that person before you see them in that state but there is nothing to hide. It's not sexual you feel a connection with people you don't know. However, I have to admit I am naturally a very observant person so I could'nt but look. In a way, by looking but not staring I was taking it all in and became easier for me to mingle. I noticed people with tatoos that normally would't see, women with nipple and vaginal piercings which surprised me since I though that some clubs frowned on it. Some people were into the smooth look and surprisingly a lot of them were men. There were a lot of families there too which helped make it feel all the more wholesome. In the time I was there I was astonished that I did'nt really have any real male-related problems, however, I did have to use cold water in the shower room when I fould myself showering with a very attractive woman. That is something I'm not used to and neither are the restrooms which don't offer a lot of privacy but I guess that's the point. I did meet another single guy there by the name of Doug and we hit it off. It was nice hanging wityh someone whose actually been there before and real nudist. We saw a naked volley tournament. Played nude billard pool in the rec room and spent time talikng which helped me relax even more. All and all it was wonderful experience and I can't to go back again. I might try Deer Park next time since I am closer to it and I might run into people I know next time. Before, that would have terrified me but now I would'nt mind seeing a familiar face.

Congratulations on your first nude outing. Since I have never visited a resort yet, I can only imagine what the feeling was like.
The first time I got naked in front of other nudists was when I met the INA staff. This was the first time I was able to undress in a home-like atmosphere with others, who were, at the time, complete strangers.
The way they treated me was more than one could even imagine. They were great.
It was this time, also, I was able to be naked at home with another nudist. Shaybare came and stayed for a week, and it was great walking around the house nude, in front of another nudist.
That was one summer I will never forget. I hope to visit a nudist resort soon, as I am not getting any younger.
Anyway, I am glad for you and hope you have similiar experiences in the future. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif

Congrats John! Although I had been a home nudist most of my life and outdoors when I got the chance, three years ago, I "took the plunge" as you just did with much the same experience. Last summer, I had the chance to spend a four day weekend at a resort. It was the most incredible experience. I knew no one, but everyone was so friendly and accepting. A great bunch of folks! By all means, pick a weekend when the club has major activities planned and stay for the whole thing. You will really enjoy it!

Glen Eden rocks. I was there about a year ago when I was in the area for business. I can't remember, but I think my tour was in the nude. They made me feel very comfortable, let me know what was on the calender for the next couple of days and then turned me loose. As you might surmise, I'm a tennis player and quickly connected with the other players there. I got to play a lot of tennis, swam a lot, ate at the great cafe. As my wife was not along, I didn't really do anything during the evening other than read and watch some TV. But I thought it was a very nice facility, easy to get to and had everything there.

Agreed, Glen Eden is a great place!
Was just there a couple of weeks ago, we played horse shoes, shuffle board and our first time playing nude tennis. Compared to other resorts we've been to it was very affordable too. We will definately be back.
