Here in the northeast we're having our first big snowstorm. I've only been outside nude in the winter a couple times. Last time I did it, I nearly literally froze my butt off. That's what you get for making naked snow angels.

Anyone else have a story of foolish things you did whilst naked?

I was thinking about going out when it's dark and making a snow angel when we have enough snow and then running in and jump in the shower. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Last winter, I made a couple of snow angels on my hikes down there. Made a couple of snow butts, too.

I live in Philadelphia and we just had a snow storm. Snow everywhere! It's so beautiful, but way too early /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif As God is my witness, I will never go outside naked in the snow. No way, no how, haha..

Get into a HOTTTT shower and then go out and make snow angels. It's the same concept as saunaing then jumping into the snow. Supposed to be quite invigorating. Let us know how it works out. I'll be the one standing in the doorway with a cup of hot chocolate and a blanket watching you do it...

(very important to have a healthy ticker) and make sure you don't stay out too long and cool off (best way ever to get a cold).
have fun! (it never snows in sydney)

We Finns really do it. We can streak off the sauna to our private yard and roll about in snow. Some people swim in a hole made in the ice of a lake.

the two amazing things are that afterwards your whole body feels very warm and tingly all over (as long as you don't cool down too much), and that it usually improves overall health and can even give immunity to the flu!

All this naked snow romping sounds great. We are in...all we have to do is wait for it to snow here in So. Cal and we'll be able to add our story also.

Come on snow! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I didn't know it even snowed in S. CA except in the mountains. We've had snow here twice so far since it got cold, but our snowfalls are nothing compared to what they used to be, fortunately. We had 65 degrees on Christmas Day one year. Imagine being in your shirt sleeves on Christmas Day in Michigan! It was great except for those who always want a white Christmas. I would like it to snow Christmas eve and melt on the 26th, and then be green the rest of the winter.

(Boys only, boarding school, indoor pool) During one gym. class in the pool, I attempted a dive from the springboard, and landed flat on my stomach, chest, legs, the tender bits - just about emptied the pool. Climbed out very red - it stung! /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

The gym master walked the length of the pool, and even without my glasses, I could see there was trouble coming. He got up to me and asked "CalgaryMark (except that wasn't my name then, there,) how would you like to join the swim team for practice this afternoon?" Me join the swim team? Suddenly it didn't sting any more. I never won a race, but that didn't matter! /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I don't suppose anyone else will have that experience, the school is co-ed now. . . /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Saw cars stranded in water up to their roofs with ice flows floating by. Still shoveling the stuff two days later. Strangest thing I'd ever seen.

About once every ten years it snows at the 1000 ft. level. That's just low enough to catch the northern suburbs. We usually get snow down the the 4000 ft. level a couple times every winter. That's within an hour's drive from downtown, a lot less from the suburbs. 90 minutes gets you up to the ski resorts at 6-8000 ft. Snows much of the winter there.

As far as follish nudity...I usually go skinny dipping on New Years Day, Ground Hog Day, the Spring Equanox and April Foll's Day (of course).

So far as everyday winter nudity is concerned, besides in the house, when the beagle wants out at 0430 I usually step out on the back porch with her. Also, that is about the time the morning newspaper arrives, so I step out on the front poch to retrieve it.

What a coincidence! I go to a nude beach almost every New Years day. Of course I do this when the day time temp is forcast to be in the upper 60's or low 70's. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Digging out from the last snow, even though there was only a foot on the ground, was rigorous. You get sweaty just from the physical activity involved in moving the snow. Now mind you I don't do this naked but I don't initially wear a lot of clothes outside because I heat up fast. Especially when removing the snow pile at the end of the driveway left by the plows.

The house also feels warm and comfortable after coming in from this activity. I normally strip down and enjoy the nudity indoors.

So I guess nudity is foolish in the eyes of a fool. Do what feels comfortable. When you look blue, have some common sense and put on some clothes.

Also someone mentioned about getting a cold if you are cold. I thought colds were passed on from person to person because of viruses. The cold must weaken the immune system but isn't the root cause just one factor.

Well, we got 6 plus inches of snow yesterday in the part of Omaha that I live near by. Plenty to go make snow angles in. Heck they even called and said for some people to come in up to two hours late if they were considered "nonessential". Guess we will have to go on an purchase that all essential snowblower someday. The neighbor's came in quite handy when the one borrowed it from another and then came over and did our driveway for us. With wind chill now at -4 F. Hope ya'll have a great nude day /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
