I was sent an e-mail about the World Naked Bike Ride for the Southern Hemisphere and I was wondering if any of our Aussie or New Zealand friends are intending on riding!
It is suppose to be on March 10th.

Greenman it's right in my home town but alas I will be elsewhere that weekend.
It's a long weekend in Melbourne that weekend and just happens to be my partners birthday around that time too so we will be celebrating by camping up the bush for the weekend with her parents.
It would be fun to participate but at times some things are more important which I'm sure all can appreciate.

Could one give me a good arguments to convince my co-directors of naturist association that irritating a public what eventually may make them angry to all naturists may be more beneficial as police of just "not to scratch in an eye" what is a standpoint of many folks here.
What is Your thoughts, why "accustomisation to" its better alternative. Just I have reached out all my bunch of arguments discussing - should we support this event or not to.

Hi,
I am the official organiser for the World Naked Bike Ride in Brisbane.
I have been represented on the front cover of the Westside News which is distributed in the area where I will be doing the ride (the ABC Radio studios in Toowong).
This week's letters to the Editor have all been focused on this event, which is a first for Brisbane at:
http://paper.questnews.com.au/QST_WSN/wsn008.pdf
Despite the adversity, I am still going to go ahead with this event and show the gymnophobic people that I will stand up for what I say.
If anyone wants more information on the ride, they can check these sites out:

Hi,
The Brisbane WNBR got about 32 people showing up for it, about 25% of them being females. 11 people I invited to who said they'd turn up didn't end up doing so in the end, and didn't even let me know.
There were media people from radio station 4ZZZ (the KROQ of Brisbane), Channel 10, and Westside News. Also had two naturist film makers present - one of them being Charles McFarland from Synetech Video http://www.synetechvideo.com and a young budding upcoming one called Rebecca James who is doing a documentary about nudity for a production she's submitting to the ABC.
The crowd was very well behaved after police warnings that anyone who exposed their genitalia would be arrested. The police completely monopolised on the event - something which has never happened with other bike rides before. There were no arrests, but two girls were stopped by the cops towards the end of the ride after someone made a complaint after seeing their breasts - and they were painted up as well!
We went to the Regatta Hotel and had a chat about the next year's ride together with starting a new naturist group in Brisbane for young adults. http://groups.msn.com/YoungBrisbanenaturists

As far as I have heard Australia has no restrictions on plain nudity in public or where one is expected to see nudity in the wilderness or free beach. Local restrictions may apply. Consider moving to a more nudist and top free area for next years WNBR.
It's also been said the United States Federal government has no laws or restrictions on plain nudity in or on federal lands. [Local state, county, or city laws may apply if the federal land is within a regulated area]
