I'm a repressed hippie. I was working hard to create a career for myself at the time, so missed the hippie revolution -- Haight-Ashbury, Woodstock, communes, "Make love not war" and especially the nudity.

So, I'm catching up now, at least on the nudity part. Anyone else like me?

Any stories to tell about how you're catching up?

Gary, you just brought back a lot of memories. When I was in my late teens I used to hawk an underground newspaper, the Chicago Seed. Yet I never really looked the part. While with my parents, I had to go by their rules, then while on my own, keeping a pad meant (even with roommates)keeping a job .That meant "looking like a human and not a bum." Bummer.

Then, as now, I was nude almost from the moment I walked in the door. Neither my roommate, his girlfriend nor my girlfriend seemed to mind very much. Besides, with all the beer we used to drink, when I got the urge, NOT having a zipper to worry about was an advantage.

Still later, with a decent job that meant commuting , then a wife, kids, my only escape was the back issues of the Seed I managed to save.

Those copies have long since dissappeared, but the memories of are still with me. Come to think of it, Valley Veiw is a co-operative, similar to a commune....hmmmmm maybe I do get to live the hippy thing. At least during the summer.

Dont miss this huge annual nude event, It sells out every year, so make reservations early. Attendance aprox. 2,500 people.

INA covers the event, and I am one of the official photographers for the event.
