What kind of nudist are you?

In question 1, choose the ONE type that best applies to you. In question 2, choose ALL of the types that apply.

1. Solo home nudist -- nude at home, but NOT in front of family or friends.
2. Family home nudist -- nude at home, and regularly in the presence of spouse / kids / roommate.
3. Solo outdoors nudist -- nude when opportunities arise in nature to skinny dip / hike / canoe / camp nude, but alone.
4. Group outdoors nudist -- nude when opportunites arise in nature as in #3, and may include spouse / kids / friends.
5. Local beach nudist -- only at local beaches that are clothing-optional.
6. Vacation nudist -- clothing-optional beaches, cottages, resorts, cruises
7. Non-landed club nudist -- attendance at nude recreational swims, house parties, etc.
8. Landed club nudist -- regular visits to private nudist properties.
9. Landed club resident -- live in a nudist community.
10. Public nudist -- seek to maximize nudity in public in everyday situations.

A third questio might have been "what type do you want to be?"

Gary,

"Did I miss any types of nudist?"

Yes you did. You missed "honorary nudist". That's me. Remember?

Stu!
I noticed you used the word nudist in reference to yourself without anti in front of it!

Are we making headway??? /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I think Stu basically meant that he is the kind of person who supports nudity and the nudist lifestyle as long as its well hidden away from him and the prying eyes of his textile society. He probbably figures he'll go into permanent shock and have his brains explode if he saw a nudist for more than 5 seconds.

I guess I cant really say im any 1 of these in particular. I think im actually a few of them combined.

2. Family home nudist -- nude at home, and regularly in the presence of spouse / kids / roommate.

*id do this in front of a spouse or kids or roomate but not my own family because they dont like my nudity and I dont wanna cause any issues with them, thats what I mean about family nudity*

4. Group outdoors nudist -- nude when opportunites arise in nature as in #3, and may include spouse / kids / friends.

*I wanna do this someday*

6. Vacation nudist -- clothing-optional beaches, cottages, resorts, cruises

*id probably try this one out first before doing 7/8*

7. Non-landed club nudist -- attendance at nude recreational swims, house parties, etc.
8. Landed club nudist -- regular visits to private nudist properties.

*I wanna do these as I get older and get to know nudists more and get more into the lifestyle*

9. Landed club resident -- live in a nudist community.

*Id probably wanna do this eventually because I just really dont like textile society that much and I wanna go about my business naked and not have to conform to their standards*

10. Public nudist -- seek to maximize nudity in public in everyday situations.

*reguardless of what else I do, I want this to be the norm eventually*

I think that basically covers everything. Id mostly be considered as 2,4,7,8,9,10.

Gary, am I to conscrew q.8 (landed club nudist) as a person whom merely visits a private club regularly or a member of a landed club?

A few comments based on 41 responses so far.

The average number of types of nudist involvement is about four per respondent. This indicates that, for most, their practice of nudism is multi-faceted, which suggests that it is an integral part of their lives.

MikeJB: I note that you indicate that you want your involvement in nudism to progress in order down the list. In fact, I listed the types of nudist more or less from most tentative to most confident, so the progression that you suggest is natural.

I'm pleased to see that I'm not the only "push the envelope" type of public nudist.

I am mainly a solo home nudist, but also am a landed club nudist. I just wish I could be a more often landed club nudist than I am right now.

And personally, I would prefer clubs that have a minimum number of visits before one can apply for membership rather than a club who has a maximum number of visits before one must apply for membership.

I mostly just want my progression to go from being a home nudist, to going out and going to nudist facilities and venues to actually going outdoors with my nudity and then either living in a nudist community which would be ideal or being able to exist in public nude which im hoping that wherever I live, thats the norm or at least something that is accepted as much as possible. Im just gonna take these things one at a time.

I am a vacation nudist mainly because I have to be.
In this country, there are no naturist resorts or spaces. At home, I can be nude if I like, but I'm mostly only at home for small periods of time, inbetween working, eating, sleeping and going out for leasure time.
I'd love to be a fulltime naturist and live naked all the time, living at a resort, working nude, in a place where the weather allows it. But hey, I live in the real world, not in paradise!
