The Forums already has a Topic/Thread under "Nudes in the News" titled "World Naked Bike Ride 2006 (Community Album)" Plus three other albums on the WNBR rides.
Actually the World Naked Bike Ride is not a Nude Recreation event or function. Its a demonstration to protest the use waste, and damage of using fossil fuels.
This topic thread really should be moved to the category of "Nudes in the News as that is what it is.
The following is a large list of links I hyperlinked on various international WNBR World Naked Bike Rides in the other category "Nudes in the News" F.Y.I. use and reference:

Did the London ride properly in 2007, as did not have another naturist event to attend that clashed like last year!
Was a great day out and finished it off with the after ride naked disco at Starkers! Great day and thanks to everybody who made it possible!
Nude regards

Gary, Naked Bike ride is not a nude event?? I was nude on the ride as were most of the other riders.
It is strange how when Critical Mass does a ride and blocks traffic people are upset and angry at the riders. But when the riders are nude the crowds are cheering and clapping and getting out of their cars to watch this great nude event. I hear people saying hey they are naked, I didnt hear anyone say "hey look at those oil protesters". People on their cell phones saying you arent going to believe this. Being naked on this ride makes a world of difference to how the crowd reacts to a bunch of bicycles taking over the streets. Clothed critical mass rides people are angry, the naked rides people are mostly positive! It may be about Oil dependancy but what the people see is naked riders and over all the message is positive.

danorganic,
Your correct, WNBR is not a nude, naturist, or nudist event and that has been posted several times on the forums.
CFI and CFF covers, discusses, and debates all sorts of nude, naked, nudist, and naturist events, protests, demonstrations, and gatherings.
Anything dealing with "Nudes in the News" World Wide is appropriate if the subject and media falls witin the TOS Term of Service of CFF and CFI.

Firstly well done to Barebum for the pics. Mine are on Flickr but I will get them uploaded here as well.
As to promoting the idea that it's OK to be seen naked - well it worked IMHO. A lone nude might be odd and possibly dangerous but a mixed bunch of genders, ages, shapes and sizes? On bicycles no less. Now that's a parade!
Riding near the front I got to see the crowds initial reaction, and the cheers and cries of "brilliant" and "that's made my day" far outnumbered the occasional "that's disgusting". And the faces were either puzzled or smiling but few scowls. And at no point did I see anyone act to prevent their children from seeing the naked people.
Another thing, from the videos and pictures it seems to have taken nearly 10 minutes for the gymnocade to pass by any given spot, so any shock or novelty experienced at seeing the first couple of nudes must have worn off after the 900th has passed by.
So I reckon some of the crowd went home realising, maybe only sub-conciously, that there are times when it's OK to be nude in public. And a police escorted bike-ride, like a recognised nude beach, is one of those times.
Oh and it doesn't stop there. The YouTube and other footage is unpixellated and, like Flickr, is not flagged as adult. Because it's OK to look at nude people, which we already know here at ClothesFree.

Glad to read the above.
So often, we hear or see of other events where the participants are all males of a similar age and size.
I think the variety indicated in the above quote suggests to onlookers that whatever your gender, age, or size-being clothes-free can be great and wholesome experience.
To all who cycled-well done!
