Hello all,
I am moving soon to Nashville TN. I have seen that there a couple resorts kinda close by. Crossville, and Murfreesboro. Any other places? Are there any Yahoo groups for nashville? Anyone near by Nashville/Franklin?

Nashville is a great place to live. I was there for 33 years and just moved to Kansas City in July.
There are only two resorts in Tennessee that I know of: 1) Rock Haven in Murfreesboro, and 2) Cherokee in Crossville.
There used to be a third (Timberline) in Crossville, but it recently closed because the owners had decided to retire. If they sell it to the right people, it may be opened again one day.
The only non-landed club that I knew of around Nashville was a motorcycle club in Murfreesboro that I thought was related to Rock Haven in some way. However, it was recently taken off of the list of clubs at AANR, so I don't know its status.
Make sure to ask of the visitor/membership policies if you go to Rock Haven. I was quite upset when I learned after my second visit that I was required to become a member to visit again. I was not told this, but was handed a stack of newsletters and notices when I checked in. I happened to read through the stack and saw the requirement mentioned. This was about eight years ago and, as a college student, I wasn't able to pay the $500 membership fee and never went back. I started going to Timberline instead. Be sure to check on their current policies, since in eight years, some things may have changed.
I never visited Cherokee, so I can't offer an opinion on it.
Good luck and enjoy all of the I-40/I-24 and Briley Parkway construction. It truly is never-ending.
Stay nude.

I don't know if you guys have moved yet but Cherokee Lodge in Crossvile is a very nice place. Never been to Rock Haven and after reading the previous post I may not get to. Can't afford a membership. I have looked at their web site and it does look inviting.
Welcome to Tennessee.
