Hey, believe me, I'm not saying it's CHEAP to purchase a direct Oceanfront condo in South Florida.
Matter of fact, I wish I had $ 799,990 to throw at a condo at Haulover Beach, but I certainly don't......
BUT, when there are buildings right next door to this one with 2 bedroom units starting at 1.5 million, it kind of makes this one seem like a pretty good deal at $ 799,990, doesn't it? If I had that kind of money to spend, and I was in the market to purchase property near Haulover, I'd be real curious to see unit I'm talking about.
So if you or someone you know is interested in this unit, or other ones in the Haulover Beach area, please feel free to contact me!

Not with standing the snide comments regarding the price, I would be interested in looking at the unit. I plan to be in the Miami area next week (probably Wednesday and Thursday) and had planned on a visit to Haulover during that time. I have seen your previous posts regarding condos in the Haulover area and have often thought how nice it would be to have a unit there; having said that, I was more interested in the units you had for the low $100,000's rather than for the high $700,000's. Although this particular unit is probably not what I would consider, if you are willing, I would like to see it, if for no other reason than to see what the market is. Let me know.

Jenlee, if a person bought the condo-say with 10% down,balance financed- vacationed there two weeks out of the year- and leased it out for the remainder of the year; would the rental income offset the carrying costs???

There are a lot of variables to consider with this question. Like what kind of financing is done, whether the owner takes Homestead Exemption, what time of year you decide to rent the unit, etc.
But I can tell you that these units can typically rent for about $ 2200 / mo. That's an average, depending on if you're renting during high season or not.
