About three years and two computers ago while living in Colorado, I found an online site with a state by state nudity laws. I've been searching on and off again and can't seem to find it. Anyone help will be greatly appreciated.

It was interesting reading that list of state laws.
What most of them have in common is their lack of clairity. Phrases such as "Likely to cause Affront", "Likely to cause Alarm", "Knowingly Expose his person or Private parts" are pretty common.
As a nudist I don't believe "Private parts" exist. And how should I know if someone would be Alarmed or Affronted? Are we supposed to be mind readers?
Another commomly use word is "Reasonable". Now there is a definitive term.
Just try reasoning with a judge or a cop.
In some states it even appears that a Land Lord could be charged if one of his tennants were to expose himself while renting an appartment from him.
And what do these people do when mom is giving her baby boy a bath? Does the toddler get arrested?
"You may not be nude in Arkansas in the presence of any person of the opposite sex who is not your spouse".
The Key word used in almost all state laws is "Lewd". Which I assume means that as long as your not being lewd it's ok to be nude. The problem is how are you gonna convince a judge or jury that you had no sexual intent.
Laws need to be written with language not only to define what you can't do, but to define what you can do too.
Looks like we have alot of work ahead of us.

Tennessee's wording is one reason why I didn't retire there.

Steve

Also...
quote:
It shall be unlawful for any person, club, camp, corporation, partnership, association, or organization to advocate, demonstrate, or promote nudism, or for any person to rent, lease, or otherwise permit his land, premises, or buildings to be used for the purpose of advocating, demonstrating, or promoting nudism.

The Arkansas law(?) just begs for a test-case for unconstitutionality. "Advocating, demonstrating, or promoting" is speech, pure and simple. What does the First Amendment say about that?

Here's a link to the Naturist Action Committee's site. There you will find a link for "States, Provinces & Territories". They keep track of all the anti-nudity laws.
