Phillip

Hi Phillip,
Why all the steps to join? I tried to open a yahoo account and it rejected my email address. What type of people do you not approve and why. Have you had problems in the past? Every naturist I have met have been very good and friendly people. Let me know. Thanks!!

The main people behind our club are very careful because they have had problems with people thinking they could figure out a way to get sex out of it. So to avoid this they would like to meet the people first in public and just see if their just looking for other nudist to hang out with and go on trips with rather than some one looking for sex. It makes things more complicated but but it really isint all that bad its not like an iterogation or anything. Its also helpfull to those who are just starting to get into social nudism. I hope this explains the reason for all the procedures later.

Phillip

I went to your website. It says:
You've reached an Age-Restricted Area of Yahoo! Groups. This area contains material of a mature and adult nature the may not be suitable for younger users. You must be over the age of 18 to access this area of Yahoo! Groups.
Why not put the club in an are that is not "mature and adult nature" so people won't think it is about sex? Nudists might not want to sign up with a club that is in that adult area.
Just a thought!

Hello Phillip,
Glad to hear of a club starting up in Fresno. I was a member of the Natural Manner Club of Central California, until it folded. I live in Alaska but grew up in Reedley; I still visit central Calif. often.

Phillip I am sorry that I was not able to attend that meeting on Sat.. I am still interested in meeting some mebers of this club. I actually have relocated down here in Fresno. It would be a lot of fun to get together sometime with the seasons getting ready to change and have some fun around the area. We are also triing to put together a weekend of fun this summer somewhere in central Cali., it would be a great chance to get together and have some fun in the sun. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Aaron,
How about a get-together at "The Falls"at Bass Lake during Easter Break (4-12 thru
4-20)? Maybe Phillip and his members could make the short trip up the hill. Could be a place to recruit new members. Is the weather usually warm enough for nude activites in April? If not, how about gathering at INA HQ?

I haven't heard anything about this club, as of yet. They state I have to meet with some of their board members in public before I can join. I have not had any contact with anyone, yet, be it through e-mail or by Yahoo Groups. In order for this group to build, they must make contact with prospects, as advertised, but if they don't bother contacting anyone, then it's their loss. C'mon guys, there are nudists who are willing to meet you, but you must do your part as well.

Not true.
There are many nudist yahoo groups that are not designated "adult".
Here are a few:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FamilyNaturism/?yguid=114495181
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/The_Nudist_Parent/?yguid=35355624
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hauloverfriends/?yguid=35355624
Setting a non-sexual nudist group as adult is counterproductive and makes people this the group is about sex.

Setting a non-sexual nudist group as adult is counterproductive and makes people this the group is about sex.

Then they aren't listed as a nudist group because Yahoo forced them all to be in the adult section. I don't know how they go about combing through the groups and deciding which go where but Yahoo made the decision and not me. If you go to the Nudist section of Yahoo you would see that all of them have an adult designation.
I owned or moderated a few groups and all were forced into the adult section and we didn't get a choice.

Then we all need to move our legitimate nudist groups out of Yahoo's so called "nudist groups" if they designate it wrong. Because the links above are fine with no adult warnings.
We need to work in the right direction not catering to them and head into the wrong direction.
Right?

I think it is Yahoos' policy to post all nude related subjects under the adult section. I can see why on some things, but not all. There is a site on Yahoo that shows nude children and adults. You may notice I stated children first. That is because the site has pictures of nude children. This site, should be prohibited, but it isn't. The pictures aren't sexual, but they are suggestive.
There are some groups that start out as being a nudist site, but ends up leaning to much towards the other way. Maybe this is why they just categorize all nudists as being an adults only section, thus as stated, would simply give the wrong impression on our true intentions. Anyone who would be interested in nudism, would get the wrong impression, if they check out some of the sites Yahoo has under the same category.
I am not bashing Yahoo, for they do have plenty of groups that cater to all, but they need to re-define their nudist sections to differentiate explicit nudists to casual nudism.
Yahoo should set up a moderator to check these sites out. Simple nudists should not be categorized alongside with sexually motivated sites. This just proves to show, that the moderators at this site DO THEIR JOB VERY WELL. Thanks, guys and gals, for a job well done. Family-oriented nudity should be open to all, with no restrictions what-so-ever.

Well, along the lines of Natural Manner Club and Club Freedom, Yahoo says "There is no group called CSSB-Association."...
Too bad a group can't survive in the Fresno area...

Club freedom has been trying for years to establish a Non Landed and a Landed Club without Sucess in the Fresno area.
Link to "Club Freedom Non Landed" is on the CFI servers but years out of date [Back to INA days] (http://clothesfreeclub.com/)
The image below is on CFI's Main Page. Club Freedom is trying to raise funds and investers to establish a landed club.
A seldom used Yahoo Groups named "Fresno Naturist Society" exists at this URL:

Thanx Gary... I'm in FNS and as you said, there's not much action... Too bad Natural Manner Club disappeared, I went to a couple of their functions and really enjoyed the good people...

I also belong to that Yahoo group, and there hasn't been any activity there for quite some time. Every now and then a comment will pop up, but not too much.
I haven't attended any of their functions (work) but I guess they had some get-togethers. I don't know if they were successful or not, but the group is rather a small one.
I joined it in order to meet other nudists in the area, but each of their functions took place on a weekend I was on call for my job. Maybe one day. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif
