It seems to me that it don't do any good to post.
I've tried to find friends.
All I've found is mostly silence.
Triaduw,I've tried.

There are some nudists up in your area. Same as here, there are some, but finding time to meet them is the challenge. Have you tried to PM other members from your area? You have to take the initiative and seek out others if you get no response. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif

I keep coming back to this post and I must put my 2 cents in. I agree most times you don't get a response to your posting but that doesn't mean there is no one out there. I see that you register in '06 but only have a few times that you had posted questions/comments. If you are still here- don't give up yet. You may be asking a "basic" questions that ever one has read before. Keep asking about anything in your area- or interest. You will get responses that you to the question that you may not even thought of.

To Soundman and all,
With these types/kinds of replies,I will reconsider.
I still am a nudist.Yes,I'm a smoothie.
Like some others here,I am a gunowner,hunter,
and reload ammo.Pan for gold, would like to find others for ghost town hunting.
Maybe this was getting me down:
A forced early retirement from last year.
Wasn't really planning on it,but thought it would be an option.
January 2007,I signed up for electrician classes at MJC.
I thought it was primarily for more than industrial wiring. It was primary for plants and PLC's.ie:canneries,wineries,etc.
Well, they -running the program, were pushing for cannery/winery employment.
I wasn't wanting to go back to the cannery. We all were terminated after nearly 25 years.I was one of those. as the Modesto Bee said "1,100....". I trained mechanics for the peach pitters.(I hate bragging, but one lady years ago told me what she's heard "RADAR was the best they've ever seen on the pitters...".)
Worked on them for some 14 years.
Those classes cost $3,700.00 for each of us.
Most in the class were former fellow mechanics/
electricians.Worked with several of them.
Seen enough.Ready to do something else.
Yes, I graduated May 3,2007,with a certificate of "Participation".Missed finals,but still graduated.
I am trying to push for real estate training.
Might get it,I don't know. If not, then I'll buy my own course. This slump isn't going to last too much longer. How long,is a good question.
My plan is to retire much better than now.
That $401 a month,plus the taxes taken out,leaves less than $401.00.
Been to Tombstone to check for work.
G/F's nephew is a real estate agent. He's also looking for work for me.Same with a guy on one of the Wild West forums.
Triaduw,I'm still looking for my dream job.
Anyway,I'll try to keep my chin up.
Just need to find some good people to go with.
If not in the Sierras, then somewhere around Modesto would be fine.
My thanks to all of you.
Your replies were an appreciating uplift for me.

This post gave me a little encouragement. This is the first forum I've ever joined...posted a few weeks ago, received 0 replies with 85 reads. I've been a member of Cypress Cove Nudist Resort for over 10 years. Met many wonderful people that I can share time with there, but I'm interested in finding contacts closer to me. In all that time I've only been able to meet 1 other nudist in my area(Sebring,Fl)that I'm able to spend some "nudie time" with. Not going to give up...let's hang in there!!!!

Hi jlw,
I can say, Welcome to the forum!
And, thank you for your reply.
I sure ain't gonna "brush you off".
You know, maybe this will help others too.
Will need to do another explaination:
With this high-speed stuff (cable),gets rather expensive.We went to cell only,no landline(s).
So, if you don't hear from me in a while, then I had to drop the net.Had to before. To play "ketchup" with the bills.
Will need to drop "The Outdoor Channel","Westerns Channel",and the "Sportsman's Channel". Those "ONLY $1.99 a month" . Then how come it's over $30.00 per month ? Adds up rather quickly.
Anyway, you or any members can PM me.
I am not P.C.
Be good, stay nude.

Nudestph,

I've been in nudism for nearly 30 years. We have a huge number of nudist friends. At the risk of sounding like a broken record (or a faulty CD, I guess <g>) I will again remind everyone --

- The Internet, and associated bulletin boards, are fantastic places to gather information, find out where events are being held, costs, how to get started, what is available, admissions policies, etc. etc. etc.

- It is NOT very effective as a meeting place. Although you may end up meeting people you've chatted with in here. I have, at nudist - naturist gatherings.

The recommendation I can make = find a nudist park or resort or gathering place or non-landed (social) group near you. Seek it out. Go to one of their events.

People are cautious about inviting others into their homes and social circles. They are *especially* cautious in the world of nudism. They are open to meeting new people and making new friends but would rather make first contacts on the safe, neutral ground of a club or club gathering site.

Entering nudistparks, net and submitting a zip code for Modesto reveals 12 clubs and groups within 75 miles of that city.

I know that being laid off from a job after being loyal for so long is a huge kick in the "jewels". I'm glad that you are thinking of pursuing other interests. It could turn out to be the best thing to ever happen to you.

As for the real estate slump: My wife and I are looking to buy our first house next Spring. I have always watched the markets, finance, and money in general. I've paid particular interest to the current housing slump, so maybe I can offer a little of what I believe will happen.

2007 will end down for the market. 2008 will see the tide stop and hold steady before beginning to show some improvement late in 2008. When the 2009 buying season hits (May-July), there will be parties in the streets. (An article that quotes the CEO of Countrywide Mortgage that came out today agrees with what I've been seeing as well, so I feel even more confident)

I was going to write a detailed explanation of why I think this, but decided no one but me really cares for the details of what I think. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif However, if you really want to know, I'll be glad to share. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

So, with that being said, I think this is the perfect time for you to get your real estate license. Many people get their license and begin doing real estate work part time while they have another part time job to give them the income they need. That is what I suggest you consider.

Use the last of 2007 to get your license and find a mentor to show you how things are done. Then, use 2008 to begin doing it on your own. By the time the market takes off in 2009, you'll be comfortable with the process and will know a lot of people in the field who can help you out when you need it.

Whether or not you decide to pursue real estate, I wish you luck and happiness in your next career.

Stay nude!

bg

PS -- What I say above is my personal opinion. Since I don't know you or your situation, there might be something that I don't know about that would have changed my suggestions. I hope you consider your options and decide for yourself what's right and move forward in whatever direction makes you happiest.

Thank you for your reply.
I really appreciate it.
This post and a few others, have really been an up-lift for me.
I think this is why this forum to exist.
The "...kick in the jewels": almost felt like I was neutered !
Well sure,PM me with the "gory" details *smile*.
I don't know, but I thought this slump could be over by years' end. This would be the latest,I would figure on. Sorta hard to predict just what month/date though.
Yes, I can work under the supervision of a licensed electrical contractor, doing house inspections for the realtor. This can be a sideline for now.
Several people have invited us to move to Arizona.A few in Tombstone and in Vale ,Show Low/Taylor areas, do want us there.Might be, that we are non-P.C.And, yes, they do know I love my 45 Colt copies. No blanks in mine.Like in Nevada, ghost towns galore to explore. And mines
to check out.
Would like to fully retire on a better note, than now. What I'm getting now, is really sick.More like,"We're going to let you stay in poverty".
Tomorrow,I'll be going in to the AllianceWorkNet,to get a resume wrote.Have an appointment. When done,I'll be sending one to Dillon Precision (reloading equipment)in Prescott.Would like to send one to Ruger too.
Yes,I'll be pushing for real estate. My taxes that I've paid in has paid for my schooling.
Your taxes at work.
With the federal aid,if I was pre-hired,I can get financial aid for moving.Have until December 2007 for the move.
Well,plan,plan,plan.And make back-up planning.
This is one thing I've learned from SCUBA.
Your advise IS going to be well taken.
I will say,I'm glad your here. And glad to meet you.
Will see ya later.

Hello Gene ! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/beam.gif
I do appreciate your reply !
Thank you.
Would love to get up your way.
G/F has a nephew, and niece in Reno.
We really like Virginia City.Like it around 5:00PM.Nice and quiet.Been there several times.
Always missed something,to look forward to when we go back.
I like history, mining towns, etc, whether nude or clothes on.Have you considered nude gold panning ? Seen a guy a few years ago,on the South Yuba River. Was around Edward's Crossing-I think.
Was there to join in nude.
Here's this guy, down a short ways from the bridge; nude and gold panning ! Sure does beat the heat, and might find a fortune on top of that. Many of those large nuggets are still there.
OK, a PM is on the way.
Thank you again !!

I know what you mean.
Best bet,is to meet at a restaurant,or some other public place.
This is the way I found my 2 other shooting partners. Both meets were good.
So, if the meet was good, then OK.If not, no one is hurt.
Have a good nude day.

Actually, the BEST place to meet is at a pre-established nude gathering, or non-nude gathering of a nude group.

jlw;

Your earlier post was:

"This is the first forum I've ever joined. Yesterday I posted a message in the wrong place. Sorry to nofish95 for my confusion. I'll catch on!! So...I'm a straight male in my mid-fifty's, still physically fit. I live in Sebring Fl. I'm looking for females or couples who would like to share some "nudie" time on the days that going to the beach or resort isn't feasable. I've been a member of Cypress Cove for over a decade, and of course an AANR member for as long. I'm not looking for love, so age and physical appearance is of little concern. I would look forward to meeting some local people who share the same open attitude towards social nudism. If you aren't comfortable yet with your own nudity in social situations, but would enjoy some company with a long time nudist, give me a holler!!"

Your post was specifically for nudie females and couples. That is very specific. Females and couples would naturally be wary of someone they don't know.

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon with someone else I met on this forum. We went to Apollo Beach and then back to his apartment. After washing the sand off, we spent the afternoon playing chess. Neither of us cheated because we had no sleeves to have anything up. I enjoyed the visit and I am sure we will see each other again.

As I have said before, use the forums to strike up conversations and get to know people. Then PM those people. If they respond, continue the process. When it is natural and no one feels threatened, you can meet people. It takes time but does work.
