Can I call myself a nudist now?

Posted 09-23-2009 at 03:41 PM by curiousgeorge
I finally did the nudist resort this summer.

It was a long time coming. And I'm glad to finally have that experience in my repertoire and off my bucket list.

I would certainly do it again, when the desire and opportunity next present themselves.

I am typically a socially reserved person, and I try to avoid large gatherings as much as I can. But, as I had anticipated may be the case, I discovered that I am much more social when in naked company. Go figure!

I've heard it said that, ironically, nudists are generally shy people. I found this to be true at the resort I visited. I am a shy person too. So maybe that's what just made it very easy to relate with so many new friends I met at the resort.

I'm a nudist, and I like it.

Interesting you say " nudists are generally shy people", never heard that before but true in my case. I was always very shy but always knew I was a nudist. Guess that's why it took me 30 years to finally go to a resort. It was great though, no turning back now. I"m actually more confident and less shy when nude and around other nude people.

So, as a shy person, are you more comfortable around people you don't know, like going to another part of the country where people probably won't know you, or do you prefer a local or regional location, where you might find people you know from your community?

I was going to go this summer too! Unfortunately, I had lousy directions and never found the place.

You did not mention where you went. There are some classic sites like Cypress Cove (one of the Cadillacs) in the Orlando area.
