  • Co-ed Clothing Optional Spa US - Baden Baden Style?

Is there such a place as a Baden Baden German style spa in the US? http://www.ricksteves.com/plan/desti...many/baden.htm

Baden has nude Coed spas that are completely natural. I think someone needs to create one. Even if it is for one day of the week I think this would be a huge draw. I know we would go there.

There are several destination spas around here, including http://www.sundaraspa.com/ that we feel could designate one night a month to a Nude Coed Spa. The place would fill up and they could charge 20% more, and get away with calling it a German Style, Norwegian traditional, or Hungarian bath event.

Are there any places currently offering this in the US?

    Thoughts?

See the thread titled INDOOR NUDE CO-ED SPA, under the LOCATION ROOMS; UNITED STATES LOCATIONS. There are a few in San Francisco/Santa Cruz California area and Portland Oregon area.

Wow Raul - Sundara looks awesome - to have that place for a day or night au natural would be great!

Often, non-landed nudist clubs will rent a place where there's a pool, sauna, whirlpool spa, and massage might be provided.

You'll notice that in many of my postings on CFF, I often mention non-landed clubs -- which are basically nudist social groups. My wife and I are members of four of those groups in eastern New England.

Across North America, there are other clubs that do this. On a much smaller scale than this, mind you! They don't take over a Sundara, but they do take over other smaller sites - a health club or health spa.

And a great many nudist parks provide these services, albeit not at the level that Sundara seems to present in their web page! It does look luxurious.

To get a "nude day" or "nude evening" at an upscale spa you'd have to be able to guarantee them that they'd bring in more business than they'd get otherwise, because they would have to shut their business down for their regular clientele. A place like Sundara Spa -- and I like their website -- might not be willing to do it, or it might not make sense for them financially.

The place likely would not "fill up" on a nude day or weekend. That's the situation. You might call them and ask how much it would cost to "take over" the resort for a full day or weekend -- and you might find it unaffordable. Keep in mind -- since they have other guests staying there in overlapping periods, it might not be possible for them to have a nude day or night because they can't have a nudist-related gathering at the same time their regular customers might be there. It won't work.

Try Living Waters Spa, Desert Hot Springs, CA. Check out their website "www.livingwatersspa.com"

We spent a weekend a couple of years ago at 10000 Waves in Santa Fe. While it is an extremely nice place to visit, it barely qualifies as clothing-optional co-ed. Just the top-most deck is co-ed and clothing optional with a cold plunge and hot tub, and it is a very small area. The other clothing optional area is women-only.

You can rent a REALLY nice private hot tub (more like a small swimming pool) with is outside (under trees) and has large in-ground tub, cold plunge (ours had a waterfall into it), sauna and areas to lay out. Truly a gorgeous setting.

No cell phone coverage when we were there, which is good and bad depending on your viewpoint. The rooms are immaculate and Japanese-style minimalistic. Clothing (or robe) is required everywhere public, except the top deck.

My wife and I can vouch for Harbin Hot Springs being awesome. We have been there twice and will definitely return. Hopefully this fall. I wrote a trip report on our 2007 visit at http://www.netnude.com/main/info/states/CA.html
              titled 'California Dreamin'

There is a list of places with saunas that are clothing optional here:

                http://saunascape.com/find-sauna/?ty...hing=2&search=

Though really, nothing can beat a good German-style sauna. If you ever get to Munich, check out Therme Erding. It's probably one of the best places to spa anywhere in the world (and you have to be naked).
