Interesting you learned semi-precious stone inlay at Idyllwild as I've wished to have known there was such a place during my recent stay in SoCal this autumn! The old-style intarsia is a very tedious process, often time-consuming, involving the use of a band saw and other equipment. I've found Conrad 'Connie' Grundke's work fascinating.. Merry Christmas.
