What is the main problem with equating nudity and sex?

The problem if nudity is always equated with sex is that there will be fewer places for nudity such as beaches and spas.

i agree with some posts but it depends on what the people think what are idfferent between nudity and sex because i believe nudist is different than sex. do u agree?

I am quite aware that nudity and sex are distinct concepts. I am simply asking why equating the two is a problem.

Equating 2 similar yet very different concepts is always a dangerous proposition. You can lull your listener to thinking the 2 are the same by giving examples of their similarities. Then claim they are the same...that's wrong.

For example, people act like the Republicans are the same as religious. They both have some of the same values such as loving God, etc. Yet the bible says to sell all of your possessions and give the proceeds to the poor so you can follow God without all of your materialistic possessions. Republicans are very pro-wealth creation. They love to make money and buy things. Selling all possessions and buying things are two disparate things, yet only the similarities are underscored.

i agree with some peole who can teach some chidlren its their parenting style but im not sure how it works... but it may be idfferent between nudity and sex.... im nudist but why do we discuss abt nudity and sex in same topic?

I wrote a few comments elsewhere about the appropriate types of dresses are being allowed at High School Proms, and the end of what I wrote applies to this thread a bit also:

Far to many children are getting knocked-up and I feel it actually has nothing to do with what they wear, wherever! Tight jeans can be a problem, flannel shirts can be a problem, soft looking sweaters can be a problem and Cheerleader outfits...

I agree with other responses regarding there being a significant amount of pressure to look "good", attract the attention of intimate partners, or possibly score extra "fashion points" at the office by making the Front Desk, office, Conference Room or Boardroom look more attractive and "put together". The root of the problem goes to our very basic attitude and it is something we must question and consider philosophically! What is the alternative? Are loose fitting military-style uniforms something you would vote in favor of?

Some people feel what everyone needs is a type of re-education regarding having respect for each other, understanding biology completely, not having curiosity about what the human body looks like and practicing looking someone in the face and respectfully listening to the speak even if they are completely unclothed. Acceptance of our bodies and understanding of the things I just mentioned is something taking place across America and around the world these days, and anyone who cares can look up Naturism and begin developing an understanding of what I am writing about. It is not up to a single person to change anyone's mind, but if they ask a thoughtful question and encourage an out of the box approach to thinking in a new way than this is truly helpful.

Think on this: Any package wrapped beautifully, with love and style is going to attract curiosity. It is human nature that we both hate a mystery and love, LOVE a gift (or present) and cannot wait to "open" it. The gift of love and intimacy is something that only happens between two people and it is the impetus for nearly EVERYTHING we do, so perhaps the question is not about what we wear but how we view whatever is worn.

As far as nudity and sex goes, I feel like if you are at a nudist club or any outher activity and the first thing you think of is sex, then you are not a true nudist that enjoy being with outher like minded folks haveing a good time and enjoying the fresh air and companion ship of outher nudists.

Why isn't there a controversy about equating golf with sex? After all, you can have sex on a golf course - but you don't have to, just like you can have sex while nude, but you don't have to be nude. You can combine all sorts of different things without making them become the same thing. I've never had golf sex, but I've heard it can be pretty good - even if the goal is to finish with the fewest possible strokes.
