For the Android there is an augmented reality app called 'Nudist Beach Scanner' which when used in conjunction with Layar, will show you nudist resorts and beaches when you aim your phone into a certain direction -- its not a good app, its faster to look at a map - but thought I'd add my 2 cents in

One of the gripes we naturists often hear is that it is so hard to find other naturists nearby. The naturist apps so far (eg. AANR, YNA, AANR East on Facebook, etc) are mainly publicity and not really meant for interactive networking.
I would love to have an app that discreetly broadcast my presence to other naturists, received such broadcasts from other nearby naturists, and then provided a way to txt each other. I'm imagining being like in a shopping mall, discovering there were other naturists around, texting, and then meeting up for a friendly coffee.
I haven't experimented with the many geosocial networking apps like Facebook's "Find Friends Nearby", Google's "Latitude", Apple's "me too" or apps like Find My Friends, but maybe we could piggyback on their services. I kind of don't trust their privacy policies though and a preliminary look suggests 1) they depend on specific "friends lists" rather than a general interest and 2) provide much too detailed initial information. But clearly the technology is there.
Does anyone have experience with geosocial networking or know if it would be possible to set up something like a Facebook group limited to verified members of, say, CFI, Nudist Clubhouse, TNS, AANR or INF, and then find "friends nearby" if we happened to be in the same location?
