Any chance that the making of and the distribution of this film was encouraged and backed by the extreme right-wing Tea Party as a way of creating a crisis for Obama and diverting his attention as we get closer to election day, with the hope that it will result in him losing the election? We are all aware of the anti-Muslim rhetoric that has come from Tea Party people, and the timing of this incident makes mere coincidence suspect.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is a right-wing plan and separate from the attack on the embassy in Libya. It sounds like the attack on the embassy was a plan in the works by Al Qaida well before the video got attention on the internet. Rmoney found a way to prove to the American people again that he isn't qualified to handle a foreign affairs problem by again shooting his mouth off while having no clue about the real situation. The Rmoney reaction only showed that Obama is far more qualified to deal with problems than Rmoney.

And yes, it could be just that. Some Kid in Mommys basement with a Good Video/Audio editing software and a GOOD HANDLE on how to use it!

    Seems fair enough!

I'm inclined to believe this film was produced to create a reaction. Well here is the reaction... over-blown or not. I read someplace where the creator(s) has gone into hiding? Seems to me if they have the balls to create such, he/she/they should be able to stand up and face the scrutiny and/or consequences, rather than cowering behind the rest of the US. It's a question of taking responsibility for ones' own actions.
    You have it backwards, Falcon.

The "creators" of this film in question should not face scrutiny or any consequences. They are protected by the First Amendment. They don't cower behind the rest of the U.S. The United States stands up for them.

Just as the United States stood up for artist Andres Serrano after he displayed a photo of a crucifix submerged in a glass of his own urine. I'm sure you remember how the whole country rallied around Serrano to defend his First Amendment rights and protect him from the countless death squads sent from the Vatican.

Reversals of the Bush "changes" could have been made when the new administration took over. And should have been made when intelligence reports indicated that trouble was expected. Hillary has the authority........

So we can say that the presence of ARMED Marines with no ammunition prevented a tragedy in Cario that would have equaled Libya?????

Not long ago good ole Bill Maher, produced a film called “Religulous”. It was offensive to both Christians AND Muslims. He was not the subject of a witch hunt. I guess he donates to the right political party.

Nope...it seems to have been removed.

All we really know about it is that it was previewed by twelve people back in June. Trailers have appeared on YouTube. It was supposedly shown in its entirety by Egyptian TV a week before 9/11/12. Why on earth Egyptian TV would show such such an offensive film (That had to be subtitled or translated from English) to a public that is known to go berserk over things like that is a real mystery..... Unless it was part of the Al Kada plan all along.

I'm still waiting to see the whole film.

I think the whole film is a terrible idea. I think him making it, promoting it showing it is disrespectful to people of other faiths. I don’t think that should happen. I think people should have the common courtesy and judgment– the good judgment– not to be– not to offend other peoples’ faiths. It’s a very bad thing, I think, this guy’s doing.

Now pay attention, this is what the American Embassy's public affairs office said BEFORE the protests and attacks on the 11th:

"The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims — as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”
    — Embassy statement, issued 6 a.m. EST, some six hours before the attack.

Notice that both statements SAY THE SAME FREAKING THING! Only the second one happened before the violence and the death of an American ambassador and 3 men protecting him. Yet somehow that one is an "apology to terrorists" by the president (who had nothing to do with the statement).
Romney sounds very Presidential with his statement AFTER the attack.

The statement issued by the Embassy BEFORE the incident was an apology. To a culture that intellectually remains in the 12th century.....that is justification for violence.

Do you think that the Vatican is also sending countless death squads after Obama over the contraception issue? I was thinking that if the death squad members wore uniforms similar to the Swiss Guard members, blending into a crowd might be an issue for them.
