Will the Arab world experience a nude revolution?

I am very curious about it. I think nobody can answer this with any certainty. The thirst for freedom in the young is very big, but the forces of the status quo may turn stronger.Maybe some liberal young men will start organizing and then very cautiously some women may follow. Who knows?
It may not happen and the norms may even tighten. But I do not rule out a quick social explosion as in the late 60s and early 70s in the West.
Remember that it happened very quickly. In 1964 it was unthinkable to be nude in the USA but in 1972 it was fashionable to watch Oh, Calcutta" in the centre of New York.
Just wait and see!

You are extremely right. I'm for one an arabic nudist who started to be more open to others about nudism after arab revolutions!

Not if the Arab world adopts an Islamist stance. Keep in mind, not all Arabs are Muslim, but the majority are.

Then again, I highly doubt that the idea of nudism will catch on in countries that have Muslim theocracies. That would rule out Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Libya, Iran, -- and in the future, you may also see Iraq, Egypt , and who knows what other countries may adopt the Islamic republic banner.

So before many of you jump on the anti-Christian bandwagon -- remember that nudism thrives in places like France, Germany, Croatia, Holland / Benelux, Britain, and the United States -- all countries which are predominately Christian and which allow freedom of religion.

Mainstream INF-style "naturism" has developed largely as a counterpoint melodic line to historic Christianity, industrialization and gender equality. Naturism in "Arab" countries faces a whole different array of issues regarding religious tenets, wealth distribution, gender relations, etc. Also, the internal cultures of "Arab" countries are arguably much more diverse than European countries ever were. While globalized naturism can raise some broad issues, very little can be coherently imported and directly applied, but at the same time, the underlying values and principles of naturism have a real resonance with the fundamental things being debated in each national context. Diverse cultures, common humanity -- it will be fascinating to see if and how naturism can take root and bloom in a new ecology and new time.
