Wisconsin Woman arrested for relaxing on her porch naked

Last Friday evening Michelle Knutson knocked back a few cold ones—it was the weekend, NBD—and decided to hang out on her porch to enjoy the warm summer air, NBD.
She was naked, but that was NBD because, as she later told a police officer, she "always" walks around her house naked. She wasspread eagled, legs splayed ("exposing her genitals to passing cars and pedestrian traffic," according to the police report)

The link to article Wisconsin Woman Arrested for Naked Chillaxin’ Teaches Us All A Lesson About NBD

    Caity Weaver

Has acroynm NBD NBD NBD NBD NBD NBD NBD NBD NBD Nine times without description.

Not very good writing. What is the typical reader suppost to make out of NBD? "Nude Being Drunk" That doesn't read correct either.

According to one of the articles
    • She was not Relaxing
    • She was not Chilling Out
    • She was not Locked out
    She was
    • Drunk and Passed out
    • Nude and Spread Eagle to Public in view
    • She lied to a Police Officer [About her husband locking her out]
    • She didn't cover until requested to [A towel was on the porch]

She was arrested on suspicion of lewd/lascivious behavior, but subsequently released without charges being filed.

I think the charges should have should have be filed, and mandatory alcohol rehabilitation been enforced.

Thanks "Naturist Mark" for a description of what "NBD" acroynm stands for.

Still poor journalism or article for using "NBD" nine times in a short article.

    "sunnysmile_fl",

The title of this thread is misleading. This woman was not relaxing on her front porch. She was passed out & Drunk.

By clicking on the hyperlink in the article "spread eagled" that takes you to another article saying she was passed out, & Drunk.

This women obviously needs help with her drinking problem, and what she does while nude in view of the public.

The Police subsequently releasing her without charges being files will do nothing to help this women with her alcohol rehabilitation, or make her realize that being nude & spread eagle in view of the public is illegal.

This women really needs professional help. I doubt she can overcome her problems on her own.

Well perhaps you should've reported the thread as having a misleading title then if you thought so.

Re: Wisconsin Woman arrested for relaxing on her porch naked

It seems to me "NBD" works in the context of the story. The person doing the writing is trying to make a point. NBD has become a fairly well known acronym, though it might have been a good idea to explain it somewhere......perhaps an asterix and definition at the bottom.....

It says the woman stated her husband had locked her out, and that she decided to lie down and relax for a bit. He says he did not lock her out and indeed the door was unlocked when the police arrived. I wouldn't be surprised if he had locked or blocked the door and then unlocked it when she backed off. She certainly does seem to have a drinking problem. I suspect the embarrassment of this situation might be enough to trigger her to seek help.

It is a cruel jest to say to a bootless man that he should lift himself up by his own bootstraps. It is even worse to tell a man to lift himself by his own bootstraps when somebody is standing on the boot. ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

If you wish to sit on your porch (or living room, kitchen, backyard, or wherever at home) and drink yourself into a stupor, you certainly may. It is not in the purview of the local gendarmes to take any action. They do not offer chauffeur services to the local rehab facility and Prohibition has been repealed some eighty years now.

And people certainly do overcome problems. All the time. Have a little faith in your fellows.

I do not think that the spread eagle position of her legs was a deliberate act. I know that I have woke up after a night of drinking in odd positions.
An opinion shared by many does not make it true.
