You mean I'm not allowed to be naked on my drunk porch?

Naturist Mark, You can be naked on your drunk porch, but it's not recommended to be passed out spread eagle displaying your genitals to public view in broad daylight or you might also get in trouble with indecent exposure or worse.

I'd say the lady was lucky she escaped any charges, in light of the fact the was found in a spread-eagle position out in public view.

So you are saying I have to move my drunk porch. Bummer. These are the kinds of hassles that could make take up drinking again ...

*IF* she was found that way, and perhaps that's the point: no sworn complaint, no evidence, no charges. It's also known as a "tempest in a tea pot" or when the officer says to the gawkers, "OK people, move along, there's nothing more to see here.."

I hope that people will look at it as a drunk being nude, and not as a nudist being drunk.

The lesson here is just because the offense involves nudity, doesn't mean that the accused offender is innocent or a martyr.

Two or three years ago there was a case discussed in here - in Talequah, Oklahoma. The charge assessed against a married couple was "putting a minor in need of supervision". It turned out that the allegation was -- they were running a backyard party and convinced two minor teen girls to go nude in the pool in front of a group.

People in here were "my God, we're being picked on." Uh, no, there are laws on the books to protect minor children from such persuasion from adults.

Since it was in a small town -- and the issue was a sensitive one, we never heard anything about it again, for obvious reasons (keep the kids from embarrassment) but I was amazed at the number of "clubhouse lawyers" in here who jumped to their defense.

The world of nudism, or naturism, can go FAR beyond sitting naked at a keyboard. If you never have tried nude recreation - or social nudism - you're missing out on some fantastic life experiences. TRY IT SOMETIME. Contact your local groups. You'll wonder why you didn't do so sooner.
