    silver valley sun club

The wife and I have been thinking of getting a membership to one of the s.cal clubs and since svsc is closest to us I tried to go to their site last night to check the price of membership. The website was no longer working so I called the phone number and heard a recording that they are no longer affiliated with AANR and are no longer open to the public. Does anyone here know what happened. This is distressing news to me. It was our first resort. Before Nancy passed she always was so friendly and loved to see our kids there playing and laughing. We've had a lot of fun there and was planning a trip for this summer. I guess plans will have to change. very sad.

Well I just called again and got a live person. They are closing gates peranantly after honoring any current memberships. No word as far as possible sale of property. Very sad news.

That's too bad. It's always a fun little place to go and camp and I love the saltwater pool.

    Re: silver valley sun club

This indeed is very sad to read! I had no idea this was occurring. I first visited them in July of 1991 when Nancy was alive. Yes, she was one of the most friendliest people ever associated with a nudist club or resort and her hospitality was nothing short of astronomical! I visited them about two summers ago one Friday night and they didn't even charge me a gate fee since I was only there like two hours or so. Does anyone know what Nancy's husband John is doing or his whereabouts? I really hate to see this resort close. They were one of a kind, really. They not only tolerated, but flatout welcomed single males such as myself with literally open arms. I have visited Glen Eden Sun Club in Corona,C.A. several times, but I did not get the same feeling that I received at Silver Valley. Well, I will certainly mourn this loss for sure! They really made you feel at home whether you lived there or not. One night, I was too tired to drive home and they allowed me to sleep in one of their cabin rooms. As I said, this is what I will miss the most about this lovely resort. God bless them all. They will be missed dearly!

We pass through Trona enroute to Ballarat each March. Is the Chevron station pumping fuel? Last time through ... no fuel but we shopped for snacks! LOL

They are in the process of repairing the tanks. Don't know when they'll be done. T-stop is also making repairs and Trona should have fuel again soon.
