Watch, soon enough he will post another story about the decline of nudism, or spout off about how we should be segregated. Oh wait, he already has in the British attitude towards nudity thread.
Some of us who have been around Stu for a long enough time do see and know him for what he really represents. Others are fooled by his game and that's really sad. It really should be of great concern to any legit nudist when someone (ab)uses their legal understanding and influence to punish someone in another country who does not adhere to that person's own perceived appropriate and inappropriate nudity. Would anyone here care if a forum member was legally harassed and jailed for practicing perceived inappropriate nudity by someone living in a foreign country?

That's awesome, Stu. I'm glad you took the opportunity to relax a bit and experience some casual nudity for yourself. You see, it's pretty comfortable when you think about it, even moreso when you can forget that you're nude when you're nude.

I did get a little chuckle, though, when you said that you ended your day of casual nudity by putting on clothes (PJs) when you went to bed. Heck, bedtime is one of the nicest and easiest places to be nude and I never understood why people have a need to dress up just to go to sleep but it's all good.

But still I give you props for taking some time in your day to try some casual nudity if not for even just awhile and I am hoping you will be inclined to try it again sometime real soon, if not get into a regular routine of being nude, say, on a weekend day.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I didn't do this to win "brownie points" on here with my critics.vAs I said, I was urged/challenged by someone here a short while ago to try this "experiment" - I can't quite remember who it was, but it might have been unusuallylurk - and, if you care to look back, you will see that I promised I wouldand that I would report how it was. The reason was specifically to do with the claim of a "feeling of freedom", and I had said I didn't understand how you could derive a greater sense without shorts than with shorts. As he rightly pointed out, I was in no position to argue as I had never experienced relaxing without wearing anything.

So I kept my promise and I reported on here the pluses and minuses as I experienced them. And there certainly were some pluses! When I suffer bloating, I sit with my belt unfastened, which offers some relief, but I hadn't realised how much tightness underwear exerts on the abdomen. But the biggest surprise was how quickly you forget about it and then, after a while, you remember "Hey! I am nude! I have been nude for x-hours!" and I was reasonably comfortable: that was quite weird. Some people on here had mentioned this and I had doubted them - and was certain it wouldn't apply in my case - I was wrong about that.

I am glad I did it and will probably repeat this "experiment" when I am alone. However, I'm not a nudist: the idea of being naked among others is not an option for me and I don't believe it ever will be. My experience has given me an insight into the fact that relaxing naked is nowhere near as difficult as I had imagined it would be and a slightly better understanding of some of the feelings nudists enjoy.

Today, I am gardening - with hedge-trimmers and a chainsaw so I can reclaim some parts of my lawn from some invading trees and shrubs - so it's a strictly textile day for me today!

Careful Stu, this, I'd wager, is how many of us started. And let me tell you, I am not a nudist either! I just enjoy relaxing with out my clothes on. Just a few years ago I had a terrible (irrational) fear of being nude. I would go so far as to lock the bathroom door in an empty house to change clothes. A few expirements like yours and then accepting that dispite how I was "suppose to feel" I was not bothered by seeing or being nude, and here i am. Next challenge for you Stu, think of the one thing you enjoy in life more than any other. Now try that nude. In a way that no textiles will not be harmed by the sight of course. (sarcasm)

Reality check. Normal clothes are no protection from the bite of those tools. If you can be careful enough to use those tools in jeans and a tee shirt, you will be fine nude. Might I suggest a thick leather apron and glasses as a better outfit.

Kudos Stu. At least you tried it, now you have a first hand account on what it feels like. A guess at some point in time, many of us were in the same boat i.e., walking around naked. But, and please don't take this wrong, many of us didn't condemed nudity before actually trying it, especially those like myself, who were never raised in a nudist family. You tried it, you liked it, now you have only just begun to scratch the surface. I do understand your reluctance on trying social nudity, but at least you know what it's like just to be able to roam around the house sans clothes. As the old adage goes, just take 'baby steps'. You have taken your first step and now you know the feeling. Next you might want to try wearing light shorts around in public without the liner, try sleeping, or just lay in bed for a spell without any PJ's. Your boundries are limitless. Hats off to you and hope you are able to expand your newly found frontier. Kudos.

WOW - I remember losing a debate with Stu about the pleasures of [men] swimming topless and after attempting to debate Stu about many other issues in the past and losing every time, I cant believe this --- I think Stu may be writing himself out of the play. How can we debate Stu when he becomes a nudist ? It will be a great loss to the forum

Welcome to the world of casual home nudity. Taking a shower and not bothering to put clothes back on is a great way to start. Soon you may find yourself looking forward to days alone so you can enjoy the freedom from the tightness of underwear. Another step is enjoying the feel of the sun & breeze on your whole body. If you enjoy being outside at all, you will find being outside naked very pleasant.

You did find one of the negatives, though: The nervousness and anxiety of being caught or seen. One thing a nudist resort or clothing optional beach provides is the complete removal of this edginess.
