Re: Parents walking around the house nude bugs sisters

You would think it did. There are still plenty of psychologists who do buy, at least somewhat into the psychosexual stages of development that Freud espoused. One of note in the US is Dr Joyce Brothers. She wrote a column a number of years ago where she disagreed that a brother and sister (preteens) should have to sleep in the same bed (visiting family) as the experience may cause problems with their relationship. She has also espoused the fact that the Oedipal and Electra Complexes are alive and well. It was Dr. Spock, the well-known author of baby books who wrote about the necessity of parents to cover themselves in front of their children. He came to this conclusion as I have heard, when his young son tried to grab at his penis while his son was sitting on the sink watching him shave. He presumed that the son was jealous of the size of his penis.

I don't know if this was intended toward me, but I call a household where there is casual nudity commonplace or allowed a nudist household. As for where the girls wrote, this apparently is a local paper that just has an opinion advice column. I don't know enough about the column to decide if they expected biased results.
