I agree Sans...There is a need for better communication....I did list several things above that AANR does that I am aware of and involved in.....There is much more that needs to be done, but very few are willing (or able) to go out and do it.

For that I would suggest two things:
First contact Board Member Tom Brown who is also the Government Affairs Chair for the region and ask him directortbrown@aanr-east.com
Second- If there is a suggestion or idea you have of what AANR can be doing or should look into doing please bring it to his attention
To get more people supporting Black's Beach, somebody needs to make it easier to get to.
The best drinks are named after places. Burgundy, France. Tequila, Mexico. 六安茶, 安徽. Pepsi Cola, Florida.
Who is this "somebody" that is going to do all of this work? In the past there was one man (trail guy) who worked very hard on the trail and put out a tin cup for donations. The problem with doing this work is that there are legal liability issues involved and the city does not want to be sued if someone gets hurt so the trail officially can not be worked on.
The simplest thing, of course, would be for every club, like in France, to adopt/sponsor and manage a nearby beach or section of a beach. Local naturists working with local authorities always works best, especially when operating under the aegis of recognized national organizations with family-friendly values and clear codes of conduct. A simple charter of agreed responsibilities covers who does what and who communicates with whom if there are any issues...
They're (AANR) involved cursorily in the beach movement. Who can ever forget last year's frivolous move to promote Coney Island as a nude beach?
As far as communication -- funny thing. Two weeks ago I was at the Canadian Naturist Festival. Canada is the only country in the world with TWO INF-related organizations (versus the USA whose two groups have NO affiliation with the INF).
The FCN (Federation of Canadian Naturists) and FQN (Federation of Quebec Naturists) not only get along with each other -- but they OPENLY work together in cooperation. This was brought out in the Sunday members' meeting.
If only we could have that here in the United States.
And ... if only AANR could restore their affiliation with INF... there were several U.S. residents in the room who hold FCN membership, instead of AANR membership, just for that reason...
Go figure - the largest nudist group in one of the largest countries in the world has chosen NOT to have its members part of the world-wide organization. Go figure.

The world of nudism, or naturism, can go FAR beyond sitting naked at a keyboard. If you never have tried nude recreation - or social nudism - you're missing out on some fantastic life experiences. TRY IT SOMETIME. Contact your local groups. You'll wonder why you didn't do so sooner.
AANR is NOT in the business of promoting naturism outside of clubs. They are an advocacy group working on behalf of naturist clubs/resorts. They have very little involvement in advocating for nude beaches or establishing public space for nude use. That has always been the work of TNS and NAC. This is why I pay my membership dues to TNS. Even though I don't get to take advantage of the TNS membership, I proudly pay for it because I know TNS/NAC really use the money to promote naturism.
If I am correct, it isn't AANR that is working every year on cape cod. That is Sunclad Naturist, which is affiliated with TNS.
