Rambler beats rap for naked Leeds park stroll

A rambler who strolled naked across a Leeds beauty spot has won a year-long battle against his conviction for a public order offence.

Naturist Nigel Keer, 42, has been appealing against the charges since magistrates found him guilty of causing distress to a woman who was walking her dog on Otley Chevin last October.

I liked the judge's distinction between just being out walking and seeking attention by "jumping out and doing what is colloquially called flashing." It is the principle that all's well if you are behaving without clothing as you would be behaving with clothing. This is a principle that judges and the public can easily understand and apply to specific cases.
