Hello RalphVa. I also agree with you that there is nothing wrong with it except for the possible ripple effects should your kids mention it either at school,church, or any other social gathering and it gets to other parents. You just never know how they will react or what will be said. And then hope and pray that nobody will contact CPS and they in turn show up at your house and launch an investigation at what's going on. And as usual, I figured this would spark some sort of complicated discussion since they themselves are not nudists. Very typical!

Good grief, Charlie Brown! Let's lighten up on the paranoia. It's just a different family culture. Simply refer any concerned parents to AANR, TNS or INF websites, invite them over for dinner, welcome CPS with open arms, lead a discussion group at church... Naturism is wonderful, healthy, wholesome, well-documented way to raise kids, and if anything we should be actively promoting it as an "Advanced Parenting" chapter in the Good Parenting Handbook.

CPS is the last group you would want to invite. Since they answer to nobody, they could turn anything around to their benefit in order to get their way. I do know this from personal dealings with them in the past. Granted, they could be called to check the welfare of the kids, but I wouldn't go out of my way to invite them over. I have known a lot of families where the Father wouldn't necessarily be nude, but rather walk around the house in briefs. There is no difference other than the fact the "goods" are concealed "however slight". My Dad wore briefs all the time and it didn't harm me. Same thing could be said about that as well, whereas being totally nude where everything shows, it's just the practice of home life.

Same thing could have happened here around our kids, but since I didn't decide to become a nudist until much later in life after the kids were well grown, it's too late. They have their own opinions about Dad walking around naked, which is a negative. If they were introduced to my nudity as little tykes, then I'm sure things would have been much different.

i know of two men who had this happen to them in Cleveland, and CPS was run by a man-hating feminist who prosecuted men plenty of times on the word of a woman of sexual abuse. Each time the man had absolutely nothing happen to them, mostly because the moms had a history of living as nudist, therefore, the cases were dropped.

Yeah I do see that it's one thing for our kids to occasionally happen to see parents naked whilst they are all within the home and it's yet another thing for their kids to be seeing them naked around the house all the time, that is of course, kids who had not yet been properly educated on the concept of nudism and its code of ettiquette. The main reason for concern being that children love to talk to other folks about things and they love to brag as well, and what they have to say stands a chance of being heard by someone out there who might likely misinterpret what had been said and thus bring about the potential of consequences for the parents who choose to be casually nude about the house.

That being said, I would conclude that proper education for the kids about what nudism is, why their parents choose to paractse nudity and how to properly deal with that scenario with respect towards their parents and protecting the interests of the family as a whole by not litterally telling just anyone and everyone about their parents' choice to practise nudism.
